(Y/N)'s POV

So for whatever reason, Dante would not stop asking me on dates. I don't know what his motive even is. He doesn't seem interested at all. In fact, I deadass catch him drooling over other girls as he tries to ask me on a date.

Something has really been bothering Laurance. I don't know what it is, but every time Dante gets near me, he gets very angry.

Ivy's birthday party was also tomorrow. I'm assuming that i'm going with Laurance and his friend's.

Suddenly, my locker slams right in front of my face. I sighed in annoyance and looked over. It was Dante. Of course. "I was grabbing my books, excuse you."

Dante smirked. "Sorry, (Y/n). Anyways, do you want to be my date to Ivy's birthday party? Or are you already going with someone else?"

"No." I simply said. I entered my combination and opened my locker once again.

"No to going with me or no to already having a date?"

"Both." I shrugged. "I'm not taking anyone for a date to Ivy's party. Why would anyone go to a house party for a date?"

"Well.. Because it's fun?"

"My answer is no, Dante. It always will be. I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in you like that." I hoped I wasn't hurting him.

Dante shrugged. "Why? Is there someone else you'd rather go on a date with?"

I though of Laurance, and instantly, my cheeks turned to a rose color.

He grinned. "Tell me all about him. Or her. I don't know what you're into."

"Why does it interest you so much?" I ask.

"Maybe I can help you get a date with the person."

The bell rang, signalling that I was late to class. "Sorry, Dante. But I gotta go. I'm late to biology."

"Right. I'll catch you later."

I turned and headed to my class. Why was Dante so interested in my love life? I don't understand.

Laurance's POV

Where's (Y/N)? It's literally been like five minutes since the bell rung. She's barely ever late to this class.

I sigh and turn to look at her desk.

The classroom door opens and in comes the person I had been waiting for. (Y/N) walked in and immediately sat at her desk. She made eye contact with me, and then looked at the teacher. Her cheeks were flushed.

Did Dante do something?

"(Y/N), you're late." Mr. San Miguel said as he sighed and went to his computer to changer her absence into a tardy.

"Yeah, I know." She apologized. "I lost track of time, I'm sorry."

He nodded and began lecturing again.

(Y/N) and I sat by each other now. I guess out teacher realized that she's alot more social when she's around me. And he liked a social class.

I quickly ripped a piece of paper and began writing a note. I wanted to vocally ask her but talking while a teacher is lecturing is just plain rude.

Why were you late? I handed her the piece of paper. She looked at it then took out a pencil and quickly wrote.

Dante asked me out again - (Y/N)

Did you say yes? - me

Lol no. I told him I don't see him that why and I think he's going to stop. I hope so. - (Y/N)

Me too. - me

She looked at me, smiled a little bit, then focused on what the teacher was saying.

After class, I waiting for (Y/N) to put all her stuff in her bag to walk her to her next class.

"So, do you have a way to get to the party today?" I asked as we walked out of the classroom.

"I'm planning on just walking there." She shrugs.

"Do you need a ride?" I smirk as I ask this.

"You have a car?"

"My dad does. And he let's me borrow it. I don't have my licence yet, so if we get pulled over then it'll be a mess. But It's never happened before. I drive pretty well." I smile.

She grins. "Sure. Pick me up at 8."

(Y/N)'s POV

I was scared shitless. Never have I ever been to a teen house party. Much less, never have I ever had to deal with Ivy for such a long time. Hopefully, she won't be around me and my friends at all. But assuming she's going to want to be with Garroth all night, I don't think I have much of an escape from her presence.

Looking through my closet, I chose a loose (favorite color) blouse, dark blue jeans, and some vans. I assumed a casual look would suit best for a party. I doubt it's going to be elegant. Everyones probably going to be drinking and whatever else people do at parties.

I sigh as I look in the mirror. Makeup or no makeup?

I looked at my face for a few more seconds and decided on the makeup.

Subconsciously, I just wanted to impress Laurance.

After I finished the makeup, I looked down at my phone. 7:45.

My door opened. I looked up to see my dad. He smiled at me. "I'm so proud of you."

"Why? I'm going to a house party to get drunk and snort cocaine." I laugh.

"Please don't snort cocaine." A flash of concern passed my dad's face. Then he smiled again. "I'm proud of you because you've come out of your shell. Ever since that project you had with Laurance, you've been going out alot more. Ever since you were a kid, you were very quiet. You never talked to any other kids in the playground and during family gatherings, you'd sit alone the whole time. Now you're out and about going to high school parties with a whole group of friends. You're not lonely anymore, (Y/N). And I'm so glad."

I wanted to cry a little. But I didn't because it'd ruin my makeup and I literally spent about three hours on it so I wasn't going to ruin it. But I got up and hugged my dad. "I'm sorry for making you worry about me."

"It's okay, (Y/N). None of it is your fault."

The sound of a car beeping ruined our moment.

"Laurance is here!" I exclaimed and went to grab my stuff from my bed.

I looked at my dad, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and headed out the door.

I was just as excited as I was anxious.
