Turned

Chapter Ninety Eight

We headed to the club, all of us knew what we had to do, we all knew what the end goal was. I knew I had to get Leo's attention, I had to get him to come to me, to get him away from Sapphire. I wasn't completely sure how I was going to do it, but I knew what would get his attention. I marched inside as if I owned the place and danced in the club, like there was nothing wrong. I danced, joined by Nick, watched by Lena as she began flirting with people. I could see Matt near the entrance, I could see him watching us.

I struggled as I looked around for Leo. Nick broke that focus when he unbuttoned a bit of my shirt, winking as he completely unbuttoned his, dancing with me sexually. I blushed a little but soon, I kept dancing and smiling as my eyes stopped searching for Leo.

"As a wolf, I've learnt to let my prey come to me, by making him think you're not chasing him, he'll come looking" Nick whispered as he rubbed my chest gently.

I smiled as I danced with him, glancing up. Finally, I saw an enraged Leo, despite being grabbed by Sapphire, he refused to let it go, he stormed down in anger.

"Showtime" I whispered as we kept dancing as Leo stormed onto the dancefloor. We kept dancing until the last minute, to enrage him. he hissed, practically growling as his fist swung for me. I dodged it, watching it swing into an innocent man's face. I felt a little bad, but I brushed it off, things were getting interesting, very interesting.

The people ran, leaving us there to fight. I smirked as I taunted him, swearing at him. he ran towards me, like a bull. I jumped to the side, kicking him as he stopped dead, looking for me. Foolish idiot fell down but sprung back up like a scorpion. The last thing I needed was Sapphire, especially since Caleb and Matt had to be careful, to sneak in.

I threw a punch at Leo, deliberately missing to keep the distraction going as Nick began to transform into a werewolf. I didn't stop him, I just kept Leo off him as Lena headed out to meet Caleb. She was a good, charismatic girl who could lie or charm her way into anything, something they needed if we were going to get into Sapphire's office and break the various chains of innocent people.

"Did you come here to get killed, Jack? You're pathetic!" Leo taunted.

I punched him, this time hitting him as Nick jumped at him. Leo kicked Nick away, but Nick just growled, shaking it off.

"I won't let you live, Leo"

Leo just laughed as he cut his hand, letting his blood drip. I choked as it hit my nose, the deep desire was back, in moments... I hadn't even gone through the proper withdrawals because of how much blood I'd had.

"Do you feel that?" he teased.

"Jack, don't" Nick growled.

I couldn't help it, I was drawn to it, I wanted it. My fangs extended, I couldn't help it, I couldn't stop myself. I wanted to get closer as it dripped onto the floor, every drop just tempted me more... drew me in, a siren's call for me to just taste it, just one drop of it!

"Jack!" Nick called but I was in the trance.

"You see, Jack, we're just alike... only, the irony is... not only would you be drinking my blood but their blood too... your mother's, your father's... even Kyle's blood and soon, I'll spoon feed you the blood of your sweet little sister, once I've finished with her" Leo offered as his eyes glowed bright red. 

My anger burnt as I heard his comments about Lena. I didn't care about anything else, Lena was all that mattered to me, Lena and Nick, Matt and Caleb. I threw Leo into the wall, before punching him several times, breaking his ribs violently as a little payback for what Sapphire did to me. I smashed Leo's head into the wall. He pushed me off, throwing me into the bar but he didn't realise Nick was nearby. Nick pounced, pinning Leo to the ground. He clawed Leo, howling as Leo bit him. I punched Leo in the face several times as I smelled Nick's blood.

"Nick?" I asked.

"I'll be fine" he promised.

"You see? You can't beat me" Leo whispered, joking.

"You're not a god" I snapped.

"I know but I'm Sapphire's favourite now, you're nothing to him, you're absolutely nothing to her now, like Caleb... both of you are sickening, disgusting" Leo teased cruelly as he threw a punch, hitting my chin.

"What are you, Leo? Are you Sapphire's new plaything? Fool, she'll dump you too, she' won't keep you forever" I promised as I dodged his fists.

They just kept flying as Nick healed himself up. I kneed Leo, his pure reaction almost made me smile as I dug my claws into his shoulder. He had no idea what I was like when I was angry, and he didn't want to know either. I threw him down onto the floor, digging my nails in as Nick broke a chair and handed me a piece.

"Do it then!" Leo snapped.

"I never wanted this... I, I never wanted any of this... if you hadn't have turned, if you hadn't had done this to us, I'd have let you come with us!"

"To be with you and him? No thanks... my place is here, with Sapphire, the woman... I wanted to be with... who made me, who kept me... I wanted her... SHE WANTED YOU! WHY IS IT THEY ALWAYS WANT YOU?! YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE FOR HER! YOU TURNED AWAY AND YET, SHE WANTED YOU, ALWAYS YOU! SHE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT US, BEING A COVEN, A FAMILY, WITH YOU BY HER SIDE! WHY DIDN'T SHE WANT ME?! I WAS LOYAL, UNLIKE YOU, YOU RAN OFF WITH THAT DOG!" Leo shouted uncontrollably. He grunted as he struggled to get up, his blood loss taking a toll.

"I never wanted to be a vampire, I hate it!" I snapped.

"Don't think that brings me any comfort, you're still hers, no matter how far you go... you and she have that connection, for eternity"

"I will never listen to it" I promised.

"Eternity is long... one day... you'll return" Leo promised. He gasped as I staked him, finally offering him the peace he deserved.

"Rest now, without the lust for blood... my friend" I whispered as he turned to ashes before my eyes.
