You and Mariana had been best friends since you where little, then you dated for about a year but you broke up you thought you were dragging her down and she though she was ruining her best friend, you guys stayed best friend though. It was almost the end of the day and your hallways were empty and you had asked your crush to meet you in the hallway. You walked to them and asked them out though you couldn't get the sentence out without shaking-but they said yes. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Mariana watching you with a smile but a sad look in her eye, she was proud of her best friend but sad seeing you move on.
