The final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day.  Aurora and Adam walked slowly to their lockers, side by side. There was a weird uncomfortable silence and Aurora did not like the feeling.  They stopped at their lockers, and fortunately Adam broke the silence.

"Do you want to hang out tonight?" he asked.

"Sure," she said with a smile.

He grabbed his books from his locker and waited patiently as she opened hers.

Once she was done, Aurora asked him what he wanted to do.

"Well, I was wondering if you'd just wanna chill at your house and watch a movie." he said.

She grinned at him, and took his hand.

"Sounds like a plan!"

She pulled him to her truck and they got inside.  It was starting to get cooler out, so Aurora kicked the heat on.  She drove to her house, making small chit-chat with Adam along the way.

"So, how did you enjoy history today?" he asked.

"Oh, um," she blushed, "I wasn't really paying attention."

He laughed. "To be truthful, neither was I."

She laughed with him.

They talked about their days until they reached her driveway.

They walked into the house and Aurora went into the kitchen, deciding to make hot chocolate for the them.

"Pick a movie, Adam.  They're in the hall on a big shelf." she yelled.

"Okay." she heard him say.

Aurora made them hot chocolate and walked into the living room.  Adam had picked a movie, and was putting it in the DVD player.

Aurora took a seat on the couch, and a moment later, Adam joined her.

"So, what are we watching?" she asked, handing him some hot chocolate.

"It's a surprise," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"I'm going to regret having you pick the movie, aren't I?"

He laughed evilly.  "You bet."
