Anniversary.
*Sisilia's POV*
"Sis!" Nate called outside my room door while banging continuously on it.
What in God's name does he want from my soul so early in the morning?!
"Sis!" He called again.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I rolled my naked self into my blanket, pretty much like a sushi roll, before getting out of bed and slugishly walking to the door.
I opened the door and was greeted with a very bouncy Nate. "What do you want?"
"Shit, I forgot she was such a sour puss in the morning," Nate scolded himself quietly but I still heard him.
"Nate!" I yelled impatiently causing him to jump.
"Right. Sorry," He composed himself before clearing his throat.
"Get ready. We're heading to the diner."
I squinted my eyes questioningly. "Why?"
"Because Sisilia, today marks six years since I opened the diner!" Nate cheered.
Damn. Has it really been that long?
"You forgot didn't you?" Nate asked now with a slight frown.
I bit the insides of my cheeks and nodded. "I'm sorry."
"Hey, it's okay," He stepped forward and embraced me into a hug. "Im not mad at you for forgetting. You've been away all year chasing your dream and working hard. You had a lot on your plate. I get it."
"I still feel bad," I admitted into his chest.
He pulled away from the hug and held me firmly by my shoulders. "Listen child, I don't have time to help you wallow in your pity. Get your ass ready for eight and meet me downstairs. I have a diner to open."
He then smiled warmly and kissed my forehead before leaving and walking down the hall.

Puff 'n' Stuff Diner.God, I haven't been here in so long, I almost forgot what the place looked like.
"Hey guys!" Jared greeted coming out of the diner as me and Nate exited the car.
"Good morning," Nate and I greeted back in unison as we all hugged.
"Are we ready to open?" Nate asked Jared to which he nodded to.
"Yup! We're all fired up and ready to celebrate this beauty!" Jared beamed pointing to the diner which made me giggle at his strong southern drawl.
"Then let's do this!"
*
"So wait hold up," I began as I took a sip of my coffee. "The first fifty customers gets to eat whatever they want free?!" I asked bewildered."That's just the heart we have here in Puff 'n' Stuff Diner," Jared grinned proudly as he threw his arm around Nate who nodded in agreement.
