A/N- Hey guys!

I know I took a little longer than expected to make the changes I promised with this chapter and chapter 63, but there was a lot of things that I got wrong when I initially uploaded the chapters and I had to make a bunch of changes to future chapters also.

But finally, I'm on track again and I can start uploading again.

Thank you all for being patient. It's much appreciated.

A Not So Humble Awakening
[Part One]

*Sisilia's POV*

When Raw came to an end and I knew for sure that my first active match back in WWF would be next week, Shawn and I finally left the arena giving Vince a breather.

We didn't know in full details how the fued with Sable, Ivory and myself was going to play out as they both have yet to be informed about the plan, but Vince assured me that he'd do everything in his power to not have a reoccurance of what happened last time and as stupid as it may be, I believed him. Though, with Chyna by my side and Shawn keeping a watchful eye over me together with Jeff- who I yet have to update on this ordeal- I know that I'll be just fine.

Currently, Shawn and I were on our way back to the hotel, when he suddenly slowed the car and placed a hand on my thigh.

"Just what do you think you're doing?" I asked with a raised brow looking over to Shawn.

"You've been denying me a smooch all week. Why?" Shawn pouted.

After everything that happened tonight, that's what he's worried about?

"Now, why would I want to kiss someone who refers to it as a smooch?" I questioned deciding to amuse his pettiness. At least, it would be a good distraction to get my mind off of things.

"Have you forgotten that we're an on screen couple?" Shawn mused giving my thigh a squeeze.

"Yeah, on screen. We're off screen now," I pointed out, playfully swatting his hand away.

"Just one kiss and I'll be off your case," He then leaned in on my side whilst keeping his eyes on the road. I shook my head with a smirk.

"Oh shit!" I blurted out of the blues leaning forward.

"What?!" He jumped almost swerving us off the road. "What's wrong?!"

"The needy little bitch inside you is surfacing," I joked before settling back into my seat and then bursting into laughter upon seeing Shawn's face. His reaction was priceless.

"You're not funny," He sighed before swallowing his fright, annoyance clear in his voice now which only fuelled my laughter.

"Ha! Fuck off, ass nut. I'm hilarious!"

"I should've ran when I had the option," Shawn murmured shaking his head though a little smirk played his lips.

"You did try, but it's too late now sugar nips. You're stuck with me forever," I countered putting a dark emphasis on the last word before reaching behind his head and flicking his ponytail just to annoy him further.

"When did we switch places?" He flinched as I kept swatting his ponytail.

"I dont know, but I think I've been spending way too much time with you," I answered, retracting my hand.

"I guess I'm rubbing off on you in more ways than one now, huh?" He teased, full on smirking now causing me to lightly smack him on the arm.

"You're disgusting."

Shawn hummed wuth pressed lips. "But you love it."

"Maybe I should ditch you sometimes. Ride with Jeff for a while."

"And come back being an annoying little hill billy? No thanks."

"You really shouldn't be talking about your kind like that, Shawn."

"I'm not a hill billy!"

"Says the hill billy."

"From the bottom of my heart..." Shawn trailed putting a hand over his heart and taking a quick glance at me. "Fuck you."

This time, it was my turn to tease.

"You'd like that won't you?" I placed a hand on his knee and slowly ran it up between his thigh.

Shawn bit his bottom lip, stealing a glance from my hand to my face before inhaling deeply and returning his eyes to the road.

"Oh, you have no idea," He then exhaled.

Smirking to myself, I removed my hand from his lap and took note that we were nearing the turn off to our hotel. That is until we completely passed it.

"Umm... Shawn, I think you just passed the street the hotel is at."

"I know," He simply stated without giving any reason making my stress level crawl to the roof.

If it wasn't so late at night, I would've been okay with going anywhere, but the passing streets were ghosted and the roads were lonely. There were hardly any life to be seen.

"Where are we going?" I asked trying my best to keep my nerves on low.

"You'll see," He said with a small smile before looking over to my stressed demeanour. "Relax. We're almost there."

"Where?"

"It's a surprise," His smile widened.

"Shawn-" I whined, but was cut off by him placing his hand once again on my thigh.

"Just trust me," He began caressing my thigh soothingly.

I huffed deciding that I should probably just chill out. I've been around Shawn long enough to know that he's harmless.

He wouldn't do anything to put us in danger and in a way, I'm sort of experiencing what his life is like. I trust that he knows what he's doing and where he's going.

"I trust you," I replied after a moment before allowing myself to relish calmly in his soothing touch.
