The Beginning of Us.

*Sisilia's POV*

I woke up to the feeling of fingers gently massaging my scalp and running through my hair as I lay on a very warm and comforting chest.

This feels nice.

"Sisilia..." A voice called making me swoon internally and I know just whom it belonged to. "Wake up sunshine."

"I hate those three words," I groggily said with my eyes still tightly shut before rolling off the chest and onto my stomach.

I whined like a puppy not feeling the fingers in my hair anymore so I reached an arm out unconsciously roaming around the bed-- and body-- until I grabbed hold of a hand and brought it back to my head.

I hummed in consent with a smile on my face as I let myself relish back into the feeling of my scalp being massaged.

It was relaxing.

A deep chuckle was heard and the bed shifted beside me. Suddenly, there was a warm chest pressed to my back and lips against my ear. "Would you rather hear three other words?"

Though I know he's only being cocky in the moment, the way he said that and the way his breath fanned over my skin, made goosebumps appear and my insides melt, but I needed to keep my cool.

"I would... but I would much rather sleep right now."

The warmth that I was engulfed in was suddenly gone together with the fingers and I couldn't help but whine again.

I then snapped my eyes open and rolled back over expecting to land back onto the cozy chest but instead the space was empty and Shawn was now sitting with his back facing me.

Ugh. I didn't want to have to jump back to reality so soon.

I rubbed my eyes and crawled over to him, drapping my arms over his shoulders and down his chest from behind.

"What on earth could possibly be bothering my newly found friend at half four in the morning, hmm?" I asked closing my eyes once again and burying my head down onto the side of his neck.

"Nothing. Just tired is all," He replied rubbing my arms.

"Hmm..." I hummed bringing my head out of his neck and placing my chin on the ball of his shoulder. "I don't think so. You've been like this since last night and never actually got around to telling me anything."

"Maybe I don't want to tell you anything," He said blankly dropping his hands from mines.

I opened my eyes and frowned. "Well, that's not a very nice start to our book."

He sighed and turned his head slightly to my direction as if trying to see my face so I dipped my head down a bit where we now held eye contact. "I just have some things to sort out and I think only then, when I do, I can give you my full undivided attention."

I cracked a small smile happy by the fact he actually opened up and told me this tiny bit of information. It wasn't much, but it was a start. "Take your time. Just as long as you let me be by your side."

He smiled back at me before clamping down onto my arms and standing up. I let out a squeal as I rose up with him. He then hooked his fingers behind my knees as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused yet enjoying the piggy-back ride as he walked.

He headed over to the bathroom door before pushing it open and placing me down on the counter. "You need to get ready."

"How can I? Do I use your toothbrush?" I quirked an eyebrow up with a smirk.

He plastered on a smirk of his own. "Sure. Why not?"

"Ew! Shawn!" I scrunched my nose up and smacked his chest to which he just laughed to.

It was minutes to six now where the sun was officially starting to rise, and Shawn and I were already on board a first class plane to Iowa-- which he forced me into taking.

I had decided to stay on the road instead of going back home after discovering a note back in my hotel room from Robert stating that he had already left.

He didn't state a reason except that he had to get back to work ASAP.

Also, I didn't run in to Jeff nor did I see him around. He probably was still upset and to be quite honest, what I was currently doing right now-- being 'BFF's' with Shawn-- was definitely going to make him even more upset and maybe even pissed off to the max.

"Hey..." I felt an elbow nodging my side repeatedly. "What's with the long face?" Shawn asked now bumping my shoulder with his.

I shook my head. "It's nothing."

"Oh come on!" He whined turning his body to me and pouting his lips. "Tell me!"

I rolled my eyes looking out the window. "There's nothing to tell."

"Well then that's not a very nice way to start off our book," He said mockingly repeating my words from earlier. I rolled my eyes again remaining silent.

Suddenly, there were a bunch of clicking noises.

"What in the hell are you doin-" I turned my head back around and began to question but only to be met with Shawn pushing every button there is around the seat and over our heads.

He rapidly clicked the overhead lights on and off then went over to the air conditioning doing the same thing. Then he starting playing around with his seat reclining and inclining it and putting up the footrest and then back down again.

Needless to say, the actions drew a lot of attention from people who were passing by to get to their seats.

It was like his inner child was released.

"I will never get tired of this," He said in absolute amazement.

"Yeah? Well stop!" I hissed hitting his hand off from pressing the buttons on the seat. "You look crazy."

He looked at me with fake hurt before smirking mischievously and reaching over to my side.

"Don't you dar-- Shawn!" He then started doing the exact same things to my seat. "Stop it!" I repeated smacking him lightly upside the head.

He rose up and chuckled. "Sweetheart, you're just gonna have to get used to this if you're planning on rolling with the Heart-Break Kid."

And so, this deemed the official beginning of us.
