Friday morning, Kagami was pacing around the apartment. How could he have ever agreed to do this for Kuroko. Though he swore that Kuroko thought he was doing it for him. Either way, this would be too embarrassing. Why was he even going to be at a photoshoot? He had no reason to be.
Kuroko emerged from his room, walking so quietly he was practically drifting towards the kitchen. Kuroko stopped when he saw Kagami standing in the living room. "I know I said the photoshoot was first thing in the morning, but I said that knowing that you only get up at 10 in the morning, Kagami-kun."
Kagami shook his head, "I'm fine, I just want to be ready."
Kuroko smiled slightly before continuing to the kitchen, "You'll be fine. It's not like you're the one taking the pictures."
"By the way," Kagami followed Kuroko into the kitchen, "Who is going to be taking the pictures? It's not like we can afford to get a professional photographer."
"Kise."
"Kise?" Kagami tried to hide the surprise in his voice, but he wasn't sure it was working. Kise was their friend who had already chosen his life as a photographer. It wasn't that Kagami didn't like Kise, but honestly... he didn't like Kise. He found the blonde annoying, flamboyant, and always trying to steal the spotlight. Ironic, considering he was a photographer. "Why did you have to ask him?"
Kuroko glanced back at Kagami, a small smile on his face. "Are you scared he'll take Aomine's attention from you?"
"No!" Kagami barked, "It's not like that. It's not like I have any control over who or what Aomine likes. It's just..."
"Yes?" Kuroko looked at Kagami, waiting for him to say more.
Kagami knew that he was just waiting for him to admit that Kuroko was right. But he wouldn't. Even if he did want Aomine all to himself, there was no way he could admit that out loud. "It's just, he's going to be an ass in front of Aomine, and that will reflect badly on us."
"Maybe." Kuroko turned back to the counter to keep making his breakfast, "But it's too late to change now." Kagami grit his teeth. He wished that Kuroko was wrong just this once, but he knew he wasn't. Any hopes that he had that this photoshoot would go well were all officially dashed to pieces.
