Sunshine Rise for Me
When the morning breaks
And I seem to see your sweet face
In the orange glow of the rising sun
I realize it takes
More than lucky breaks
To find the love that is the one
In photos of the days gone past
Your radiance was like a brilliant blast
Of all the things that I once wanted
But you are miles away
And I still can’t truly say
If you ever were really mine
You see once while sky was blue
And I dreamed of others too
I was a little crazy
And it seems now I can’t forgive myself
And put all that past upon a shelf
And I’ll admit I have grown a little lazy
I so much need to find someone
I realize in the glow of the morning sun
Before the sun sets for me forever
You were laughs and thrills
And you are my dream girl still
But that was May I am now December
The sun doesn’t come up for as long
When time has gone along
But I clearly do remember
This world will one day cease to be
At least for sure it will for me
Somehow I must find a love like yours
I’ve seen some far off lands
Done wrong but washed my hands
But you can’t clean what stays inside your heart
So I now must truly say
Goodbye until the end of days
I will see you soon in heaven
For now the search goes on
For someone to tag along
As I journey through this planet
Surely there must be another life
Where maybe you would be my wife
But for now I’m stuck with this one
It is really not so bad
At least I remember what I had
A special, gorgeous friend
So never fret about me
One day my soul will be free
And there will be new hope in the end

Poems From Inside Me
PoetryThis is a chapbook of poetry that led me to dedicate myself to writing, whether it be for money or simply to express myself. In this book I talk about family, love, loss and all the illusions that life brings us through.
