chapter 38

“You’re my kryptonite. You keep making me weak, yeah frozen and can’t breathe.” – One thing by one direction.

Sam’s point of view:

“Samantha it’s time for your medication” the nurse walks with a cup of water in one hand and my medicines in the other. “I will see you in the night. I love you” harry gives me a quick kiss making me smile.

“I love you too. Bye harry.” I smile as he walks away.

“I remember when I was your age. My husband looked at me like that” the nurse sighs.

“How does he look at you now?” I ask her as I take my medication.

“He died in war. He was a great man.” She wipes her tears and laughs “I am sure if he was alive he would still look at you the way he did when he first saw you.” I tell her making her smile.

“You’re a sweet kid Samantha” she kisses my forehead “get some rest the medication is pretty strong” she smiles and leaves the room.

I pull the blanket over my body and fall asleep.

“Shhh.... she is asleep” I could vaguely hear El’s voice as I slowly wake up from dreamland. “Sorry” I could recognize Emily’s voice. I slowly opened my eyes to see Hannah and Emily with cute teddy bears in their hands.

“Hey guys” I smile “hi you're awake” Emily smiles at me.

“We missed you at work today” Hannah tells as the take a seat. “I would have come but I think being under the influence of these drugs I didn't think I would be allowed” I laugh.

“How are you feeling?” Emily asks me “I am good. I can go home today so pretty excited for that” I grin.

“Your place or Harry’s” Hannah wriggles her eyebrows making me laugh “not that we will do anything but his.”

“Sure you won’t do anything” Emily rolls her eyes “what do you mean by that” I chuckle.

“Please. I have seen the bite marks” Emily laugh “I have too” Hannah joins her. “at least you have just seen it I have heard them. They are so bloody loud.” el tells making them all laugh

“Geez will you all stop talking about my sex life.” I groan and roll my eyes “though as interesting as it sounds I could go on and on about how harry makes me feel” I wink at them and join their laughter.

“Sam?” a nurse calls me as she enters the room.

“It’s your mum. She is awake.”

A sense of relief spreads through my body when I hear those words leaving her mouth.

 She is awake. My mum is finally awake. I wipe away my happy tears and struggle to get of the bed in a hurry, but the IV gets stuck making me wince.

“Let me get that for you sweetie.” The nurse smiles and helps me remove my IV.

I try to calm down my breathing as I walk towards her room. I have never been this happy to see my mum before. When I realized that I may actually lose her, that she may have.......died, that is when I truly forgave her because I may have understood the reason behind she did what she did but I was also ready to let go of her mistakes and start of new with her, jack and my little brother Keith.

I let a shaky breath before I enter the room to see her sitting on the bed with Keith on her lap and smiling and talking to jack.

I run up to her and hug her. I feel my mum stiffen as she was caught off guard, I hold her as close as possible taken in the feeling that she is here. My mum is here. She relaxes and hugs me back, reminding me of those warm hugs of hers that I missed so much.
