"What, a date or tea and biscuits?"

"Yeah."

I ask, "with who?"

"I don't know." He huffs, shrugging his shoulders slightly.

"Jack!" Stanley pipes up. "A date with Jack, or tea and biscuits?"

"Oh that's a tough one." I tease, looking between the two boys, watching Jack with a pleading tone and hope in his innocent blue eyes.

"Yeah, a date with Jack I guess."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I'm being serious." Holly assures me, laying her head on my chest and stretching her legs out so the sides of her boots run against mine. Laughing along with Stanley, Holly says, "I don't like tea that much anyway."

"Weirdo!" I curse, acting out like my brother does. "You disgrace me Holly!"

"Haha whatever." She grins back, looking over to the side of camp where Dennis, Jennie and Becky are walking in with a brown wooden tub in hand.

"Hello!" Jennie shouts, smiling a huge grin and lifting the tub in the air. "We bring food."

"What is it?" I exclaim, projecting myself from the floor and over to Jennie. Lifting the lid, even just the smell is enough for me to pass out in bedazzlement.

"Oh my god!" Dennis moans from next to me, taking a bite into his biscuit. "This is the best biscuit I've ever had in my entire life."

"This is so good!" Shappi agrees, taking small bites in the corner of her biscuit.

Vanessa congratulates, "well done to you three, honestly."

"Well done guys!" I join in, finishing off my biscuit.

"Can Jack, Shappi and Vanessa please make their way to the clearing for a challenge to win a potential two meal tickets." Shappi reads from the laminate. Snuggling further into Stanley, who's giving me a great hug after talking about his past in politics, I spot Vanessa walk over and grab my hand, lifting me up from his side.

"Bye Holly."

"Good luck!" I say to Vanessa, embracing her and then Shappi.

"You'll be great!" I tell Jack as he comes up and gives me a short hug. "I promise you."

"Thanks." He smiles, giving me a fist bump before running off to the trial clearing.

Once the boy and two girls are out of sight, I feel a tap on the back of my shoulder.

"Wanna go explore camp?" Jennie asks, stepping over the twigs that have fallen and survived from the fire. Adjusting my red shorts and throwing my jacket over the top, I follow her down the path until we get to a little bath area.
