"Hello. My name is Iain Lee, and I'm a TV and Radio Presenter." He introduces. "This is by far, the most stupid thing I will ever do! I love to argue with people, you know, stir the pot up a little bit. I'm gonna bring a real feeling of self-loathing and inadequacy! I mean, I'm gonna be the annoying one in camp aren't I!"

At the end of the tape, I spot everyone just looking around at each other. He seems a nice guy and all, but honestly just seems to be a little annoying.

"And this is your next celebrity."

Looking back over at the large projected screen, this time a woman, maybe 30, with a Scottish accent and styled brown bob pops up.

"Hello, my name is Kezia Dugdale, and I'm best known for running the Scottish Labour Party, and I'm a member of the Scottish Parliament. I have resilience, purpose, high tolerance levels for stress, and have encountered a few rats and snakes in my time." She laughs. "I'm scared of a few things but I'm not afraid to give anything and everything a go."

"Ok." Dec smiles. "So now you have seen them both, please welcome to camp your two new celebrities!"

Down the path is footsteps; light and heavy footsteps. And from opposite sides of the bush, a middle-aged smiling and pretty woman emerges as well as an extremely tall, well built man with grey specs of hair.

"Hi guys!" She waves, "Kez."

"Hey." we all echo back as Iain looks over us all, up and down like we are some sort of jungle animals that are actaully accustomed to swimming in fish guts.

"Wow you guys look awful!" He jokes, but his demeanour is actually quite hurtful instead of jokey.

"Ok celebrities. You now need to move to the side of the podium depending on who you think will win the trial. Lets reveal the flags!" Up to the left of us, a picture of Kez is revealed, and on the right, Iain.

Pretty rapidly, everyone shuffles over to the left and a small laugh and victory is already given to Kez. "Awh great." Iain huffs, taking the goggles from a ranger that have been offered to him.

"Ok so Kez, you have the majority of the vote. Here is what you guys have to do for your first trial. You and Iain will make your way through these rows of perspex boxes, collecting a star in each box. The first one out of the other end with all 5 stars and to ring the bell wins the trial."

"However." Dec continues reading from his cue card. "It isn't that simple. As always you will be joined with some jungle critters. But also, whoever wins the trial will take their team back to Crock Creek, and you will all be eating 5 meals tonight. The leader of the team - so Iain or Kez - will be crowned jungle prime minister. However, the other team will live in Snake Rock for the next few days and live on basic rations."

The trial is set up soon enough, and Kez and Iain are frantically searching the "Sickola Surgeon" box through fish guts and stinking maggots trying to find a star. I can almost smell it from where I'm sat and it is really like actual vomit.

"This is rank." Kez moans, getting stuck straight in when Iain retrieves his first star and makes his way into a closure full of cockroaches, green ants and mealworms.

"Iain is in Margaret Scratcher but Kez is yet to find any stars."

Cheering her on and hearing Dennis, Jamie and Jack scream from beside me for Kez to find her star, Iain moves onto the next box and it's clear he now has a significant advantage.

"And Iain has his second star!" Dec cheers as finally, Kez pulls the star from the blood and guts.

"Go on Kez!" I scream, whooping and clapping my hands. Whilst watching Iain and Kez, I can feel a pair of eyes in the side of my head, and when I turn, Jack's eyes are so fixed and close it's intimidating.

"What?" I stutter, a sly grin taking over his face.

"Nothing." He grins, smiling a proud smile like a dad would.

With Kez in the 3rd box, Theresa Dismay, and Iain in the 4th box, Jeremy Clawbin, the distance is closing in, and so is Jack from me. The outside of his thigh is pressed against mine as his hand travels and rests on top of my leg.

With Iain in the last box full of snakes and rapidly unscrewing the last star, it's pretty obvious who is going to win. Making his way slowly and hesitantly past the snakes and breaking the mesh at the end of the tunnel, Iain's body springs from the dirty floor, ringing the bell and wiping his muddy hands on the sides of his shorts.

"Whoop!" Iain celebrates, smiling up at us all as we clap. Kez is taken out of the box, and Ant and Dec make their way over to announce the news to us all.

"Well done Iain!" Dec congratulates and himself stood next to a gigantic Iain is quite hilarious. "Ok, so, since you won, you and 5 other camp mates of your choice will go back to Crock Creek with you. You will all eat tonight. Kez, you and the 4 other campmates that are left will go to Snake Rock and live on basic rations."

"So Iain, you now need to pick 5 campmates to go back to camp with you."

My gaze on the presenters is cut off when a warm breath hits my ear. "I don't wanna be split up from you."

I turn to meet his bright blue eyes and whisper "me neither."

Jack's lips turn up into a smile when my eyes catch up at his for longer than I expected them too, and a pang in my stomach causes a butterfly feeling to form in my throat. When the glistening whites of his teeth show against his lips, his nose slightly scrunches, his forehead creases, and little lines beside his eyes and lips show up like a mechanical way to show he's happy.

The cold breeze is no match for Jack's warm and somehow fresh breath against my face as my head goes to rest on his shoulder.

"Ok so, I shall take with me," Iain lists, "Dennis, Shappi, Amir, Jennie and..."

"One more Iain." Dec tells.

Jack's grip on my thigh tightens when my head tucks further into the crook of his neck. "To shake things up, Jack."

"Crap." He whispers, smoothly lifting his arm and standing up. It's cold all of a sudden. It's just like my other half has been taken away from me.

"So Holly, Vanessa, Becky, Jamie and Kez, you will all be living together for the next few days in Snake Rock, and you can make your way down there now."

"Sorry guys." Kez apologises, coming over to hug the remaining girls and Jamie.

"No it's ok. You tried your best." Becky answers. Looking over the podium side, I spot Jack giving Iain some sort of man hug, until he turns to look at me. A gentle smile where his teeth show and his face crunches. And a wave; he follows pursuit. After, he's gone.

"Let's go." Vanessa mumbles from beside me, and myself, Becky, Jamie and Kez all trundle down to our dreaded new living space.
