"If he has one too and it glowed red, it means that he got it from somewhere in this world," Shiro said. "You'll have to ask him." Katie nodded and stood. Her mind resumed to what happened earlier.

Lotor's generals knew that they were staying here. No telling what they listened into. They could find any and every weakness they wanted and the others wouldn't even know. Though, the others didn't know this and she couldn't tell them.

That would also mean she had to avoid all physical contact with Hunk. If Hunk had the ability to look into her future, then he could see her next meeting with that pony-tail general. "There you go again. Staring into thin air like your off in another world," Shiro said, standing. "Is there something wrong?"

Katie shook her head. "I was just thinking that I was sleepy," she answered, turning to go to the house. She couldn't tell anyone. They have an eye on her and the house. A strange cat-like creature walked by, catching her attention.

That's right. Someone under Lotor could control animals. She had to be careful around them too. "It would explain...," Shiro said, also taking a stand. "Did you sleep properly last night?"

No. No she had not. He could tell from her face. He grabbed her arm and lead her inside. Matt watched as he sent her upstairs. "What was that about?" Matt asked. That was all Katie heard before she went out of hearing.

Katie thought back to the picture, the knife, and the general. It was all so much. The blade in her hand glowed brighter then before as she walked into her room. Katie sat down on the bed and lightly followed the markings.

"About time you rubbed my blade," a voice said. It was a girl. Katie jumped, dropping the knife. "Relax, relax. I'm your lion. I'm trapped inside this dagger. We all are either trapped inside a dagger or have one trapped inside us."

Katie was weirded out by all this. She heard Lance yelling that he returned from walking Sapphire, the female lion he adopted. "Wait by lion... you mean like the one we found? Does that mean Sapphire has a blade like you inside? That Keith's blade has a lion inside it too?" Katie asked.

She felt like a crazy person talking to a blade. She might as well be one. She was sleep deprived and delusional. Yes, that was it. "Yes. Sapphire has an enchantment on her. Your princess can undo that and retrieve the dagger. Meanwhile for my case and the one in the possession of Keith, she will have to free us too," her blade said.

"They won't believe me!" Katie said, falling backwards onto the bed. The lion in the blade sighed.

"Listen, the blades change depending on the person, but the lions inside don't. I'm your lion, Emerald. No doubt that Sapphire contacted Lance or else her name wouldn't match. Approach him first," Emerald said. Katie took a moment to let it soak in.

Tomorrow she had to announce her new plan and tell them that was a lion trapped in her blade and a blade trapped in Lance's lion. Yeah, they'll totally believe her. "I'll do that tomorrow," she whispered.

Lance was going to think she was insane. Katie closed her eyes and fell deep into sleep. A nightmare with talking blades, generals, and everyone turning on her. A nightmare where she is sent home, away from Matt and her father.

Keith stepped back. Katie had a conversation... with herself. He had come to ask her of ways to approach Lotor when he returned, but instead heard her talking to herself. She mentioned Lance's cub and the blade his father had given him.

He wanted to know of what she was talking about and to, but she had dozed off when he opened the door. He noticed the blade on her bed. Just like his. Keith took his out and stared at the two. Her had carvings similar to his and the same 'V' on the hilt.

Was she talking to a spirit... or the blade? "What are you doing in Katie's room, Keith?" a voice asked. Keith turned around and saw Lance and Sapphire in the doorway.

"I thought I heard her talking to herself. She was actually sleep talking," Keith said, knocking the blade off the bed and kicked it under. He knew that wasn't the truth though. He had looked in earlier and saw her on the bed looking at a space while talking.

Lance nodded. "Well, come on. The daylight's practically gone and they are going to sleep. Cover her up and return to the room," he commanded and left. Keith picked up the blade from underneath Katie's bed. He watched it turn red like his did when he picked it up.

No mistaking it. It was green when it was with Katie. For the thousandth time, Keith questioned the nature of the dagger he held close. "That Keith's blade has a lion inside it too," is what Katie had said.

Keith placed her blade on her dresser and made his way out. He glanced down at the dagger. Was there a lion inside it? He used two fingers to pet the blade. He never wanted to touch the blade part before due to its strangeness.

"Finally, geez. I was beginning to think that you'd never rub the blade!" a milky voice cried out. Keith stumbled in the hall. Katie was talking to her blade! Now his was talking to him. He had so many questions, but Lance peeked out into the hallway.

"Coming or not?" the brunette asked, irritated. Keith put the blade away, ignoring its rants about how long it was trying to reach out to him. Rub it and it talks. What was it? A genie?

"Yeah, I'm coming," Keith responded, joining Lance in their room.  A wall of pillows separated his side from Lance's on the bed. Lance did that so he wouldn't have to touch anything that Keith slept on. It only aggravated Keith because it took room away.

They climbed into bed and let sleep take over. Keith couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched, though.

I did that, yeah... surprise! Talking blades!
