Shiro did as suggested and went with the others to the cathedral to retrieve the yellow lion for Hunk. The entire time he was too worried about Katie to truly focus on anything that was said or done. Lance, too, seemed to be out of it. Like not having Keith was making him incapable to smile. Maybe Shiro was digging into it too much.
They had instantly spotted the key on the slab of stone used for religious purposes. "How in the world did we not spot this!?" Allura cried before placing the necklace into the small slot shaped just like it. The slab lit up and revealed a buff cub.
"This is Tuscan?" Hunk said, squatting down to meet the cub with loves. Allura put the necklace back on and turned to the others.
"I'll do the ritual when we also have Shiro's," she informed and began walking. Hunk stood to follow the others, but tripped on a rock and crashed into Shiro. Hunk bolted up with wide eyes.
"Shiro, go now... to the castle. It's worse then before!" Hunk shouted, ushering the male up and out of the doors. The others looked at them confusedly as did Shiro. "It's my powers. I saw it. Something bad's going to happen to her! Go now!! Lance you too. You are also involved with this!"
Hunk grabbed Lance's arm and pushed him out with Shiro. "No need to explain. We'll catch up. Go to the castle and save them." The two didn't ask what he meant, but instead looked at each other and dashed off.
"Hurry, Hunk can see a person's future by touch. Something will happen to Katie and Keith, who have actually gone to the castle," Shiro called out in explanation. Lance gasped in surprised and quickened his pace. Maybe Shiro was right.
Lance was worried about Keith.
The castle grew closer with each step. As they grew closer, Keith began to look suspiciously at Katie. She hated lying to him, but she couldn't help it. She didn't need to worry anyone about her own issue. She should've been careful when talking to the people of that town. This would secure everything.
At least she hoped so.
"Katie? We're nearly there. Are you sure about this? Can you really trust them?" Keith whispered, not wanting danger to come to someone that was like a little sister to him. Katie nodded with firm determination.
"Absolutely. I have no other choice. This'll make your spot easier to get and make everyone else's happiness be in reach," she replied as the castle became only feet away. Keith nodded as if he understood.
"But what about you? Your own feelings?" he asked, patting her head. "I can't watch you put your feelings dead last." Katie gave him a smile.
"That's the one thing I know how to do," she said and he dropped his hand. He gave her a sad smile before looking forward.
"Okay, if your sure," he said, finally giving in. Ezor came to her and held out a hand for Katie to shake. Katie took the offer and shook the general's hand.
"I'll give you this: You surprised me. I thought you'd try to run away half way here. You really are a humble and noble person. I wish more people like you existed in this world. Maybe we should've tried to get you both to rub off on Lotor, but that won't happen now. Lotor already expects your arrival. The arrival of the guilty," she said gently.
The generals honestly weren't as bad as Katie had originally thought. They were nice. They just simply became friends with the wrong person. At least they were trying to help him become a better person. "You too, Ezor. You guys may be feared, but I'm not afraid. You guys really are kind. Your hearts are just shut away because of how you were treated," Katie replied before letting them slap handcuffs on her wrists.
Keith took the chain and lead her inside. He put on his cold expression he gave strangers and they marched through the corridors. Katie was headed to her journey's end. She'd go home and leave this wonderful world behind. She wanted nothing more then to stay, but that won't happen.
Keith and the other generals had waltzed into the throne room with little care and presented her before Lotor. "Is this the Pidge Gunderson?" he asked and the four nodded. He smiled then. "Great. That means you found her guilty. Where's the proof?"
Katie caught her cue. "You blasted king! You are so unmerciful and unfit to rule this kingdom. Even us country-siders know that!" she shouted, rising to her feet. Keith forced her back down on her knees.
"I caught her trying to recruit some villagers to her cause. Shackled her right there and then," Keith informed and Lotor nodded in approval. He seemed pleased. That only made them feel worse about giving Katie over to him.
"Good. Zethrid, take her to a cell. I'll have a talk with her later. As for you, Keith. You've proved yourself worthy. I promote you to general. I need your skill and ability. Do you accept?" Lotor asked. Keith watched Katie go.
As she left she heard him answer, "Yes. I accept the offer, but at a cost." Zethrid closed the door and leaned in to hear the rest. Katie did the same. "I want to be able to look in your archives. I want to find something out."
"Consider it done," Lotor cheered. With that concluded, Zethrid motioned for Katie to follow. The two made her way down to the dungeon. Each step seemed to make Katie more and more depressed. Keith's words were getting to her.
Her feelings about this? She didn't want to go. She didn't want to suffer, but the thought of the happiness this sacrifice will make brings all those thoughts to rest. She knew that she wouldn't stop her fate. She always knew her actions before they happened.
Katie was an open book, even if it wasn't all the time. Keith had a glimpse of her true feelings on the matter and began to worry. She wouldn't have this. She'll do her job.
So I got addicted to this live action on Netflix called "Good Morning Call" I DON'T KNOW WHY!!
