"It was in the room I'm staying in. There was a picture with a little girl holding it in that room, but the bedroom was clearly owned by the grandma," Katie explained, peering down at the blade. "What to do mean Alfor's? What connection does the two have?"

Shiro grabbed the blade to throughly examine it. The carvings turned purple. "Go get this picture. I want to see this girl. After I see it I'll explain what the blade is," he said. Katie nodded and stood.

She reentered the building and flew upstairs. Katie dug into the drawer to find the photograph, but it was gone. "Looking for this?" a woman's voice said. Katie whipped around, fear growing in her stomach.

A woman with a long ponytail awaited her, waving the picture around. "Who are you!?" Katie asked, backing into the dresser behind her. "Give me that or I'll yell for the others!" The ponytail girl with strange colored skin smiled at her.

"Awe, you won't do that. All the generals are here, surrounding this very house. We didn't trust that Keith kid. I see we were right to. He is one of you! Though, Lotor is quite charmed by him," the weird girl said, standing up.

"What did you say!?" Katie whispered. She gave Shiro the blade so now she has no weapon other then her abilities, but she couldn't use them. There was no plant in the room. Even if there was, she couldn't risk it.

"I see you are out of options. You are a trapped kitten," the girl snickered. "Let me tell you what I and the other generals want. Things have been boring around here, so I will let Keith stay in the palace and become a general. Though, he has to get Lotor to soften up. We may be his generals, but we have families too. We are Alteans too, despite our galra ancestry."

Katie was surprised to hear that. "I'll get Keith to do that. I can even make it seem like it was my idea so you guys remain out of the spotlight," Katie explained, nerves exploding. The girl clapped her hands, dropping the photo onto the bed.

"Good. I will keep my eyes over you. Continue as you would have. I'll drop by often to hear your progress. Another thing. I know of your plan to overthrow Lotor. I suggest you don't. If we can get Lotor to soften, then there will be no need to overthrow him," she said before vanishing in thin air.

Katie swallowed. She snatched the frame up and walked to the room Lance and Keith were staying in. She peaked in and saw only Keith brooding on the bed. "Keith?" she said, catching his attention.

"Katie? What do you need?" he said, making room for her to sit next to him. She took that offer and sat down onto the king-sized bed.

"I have a new plan. We won't need anything except you. You're already close to Lotor, we just need you to soften him up," Katie said, her voice low. Keith looked confused.

"I haven't come face to face with him yet, remember?" he said, panic in his voice. He already knew what she was going to say.

"White hair, as long as a girl's," was all she said and Keith looked defeated.

"Lexi really is Lotor," he said, a laugh caught in his throat as he stared at his hands. "Man, I thought we could be bros too."

"You can be. That can be how you soften him. Become friends with him like you did with me. Get him to trust you! Then you can guide him. He is technically the same age as you or Allura according to the two cousins," Kaite explained, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Do they know of this plan?" he asked. Katie coughed.

"No. I will inform them tomorrow. Right now I'm busy," she said, glancing down at the frame in her hands. The girl smiled up at her which made Katie shiver. "I have to go." Keith nodded and she left, returning to the front door.

She took a huge breath and walked onto the porch. Shiro awaited her. She took one step before she heard the girl's voice again. "Good job. Now, I'll return in due time to bring you to the castle. We will need all of you assembled at the castle after Lotor's transformation!" the general whispered.

Katie froze, glad that Shiro hadn't noticed her yet. She felt someone walk past her, making the wood underneath her creak. Shiro turned and spotted her. "Oh, there you are. What took forever?"

"I forgot where I put the frame, but I got it," she said nervously. Katie then joined him, aware of the eyes on her. She felt like she was being hunted. She couldn't do a thing. That girl practically said that in any moment, she and the other generals would attack if she disobeyed.

There would always be an eye on her. "Katie? Are you okay? You seem a little distant and out of it," he said, poking her shoulder.

"Oh, I'm fine. Just thinking. Anyway, here look at the photo," she said, passing him the frame. He gave her the blade back, making the carvings turn green once more, in trade for the picture. He looked at it and nodded.

"This woman is a distant relative of Allura's. So is the man. The old woman is actually someone from your world. She kinda resembles Keith, in a weird way," he said, pointing as he talked. "Now the girl is someone I've never met, so I can't say much about her."

Katie nodded. "Now about the blade. Please explain, if you don't mind," she said, forgetting about being under the eyes of Lotor's generals. Shiro nodded and looked at her with a serious expression.

"The blades were created by Alfor for when the kingdom is in need. They change to suit the holder's ability. Few chosen ones have powers here. You guys seem to have some too, but I don't want to know anything about it," Shiro explained. "That's why it's green when you hold it, but purple for me."

"Keith has one too. It was red. What does that mean?" she said, looking at the glowing blade in her hand.
