Katie wasted no time. They needed to find their father and only one person could tell them where. Lotor awaited at the lengthy dinner table, fully set and ready for a meal. "I see you came," he said casually as if he didn't almost send Katie and Shiro to their death not too long ago.

"I'm not here to eat!" Katie informed, her brother and mother behind her, Emerald at her feet. "Where is my father. Where is Samuel Holt!? Matt told us he's captured here, but he was moved from his cell!" The girl looked at Lotor with fire in her eyes. He was quick to notice roots growing at her feet and snapped his fingers for some guards to push someone into the room from a side door.

"I thought it'd be better if all of your family was present for this dinner along with you and your friends, so I brought him up and uncuffed him," Lotor replied. Katei couldn't move. Her feet were gel. Tears ran down her face as she caught sight of her long-haired father, weak and frail. Her body fell to the ground as the older male took notice of his family and rushed over to them. He embraced his wife and ruffled Matt's hair before finally crouching down to his daughter. Mrs. Holt quick to follow, latching onto her husbands shoulder as she, too, cried.

"Katie, look at you! Your all grown up," he whispered, whipping the tears from her face. She nodded. "Do you still have your powers or did that place strip them from you?"

"I... have... them," Katie responded and hugged her father.

Shiro walked along the castle, his lion trailing behind him. They had just found the cub and Allura set him free. The knife that came along with the package was tucked into his belt. Everything was finally turning around. Lotor agreed to become a nicer king, leaving that to be no worry for the group. Shiro knew, no doubt, that the Holts would go try to get their last member, leaving only one question left: What will happen now?

Katie got her family back and the kingdom was saved. It even now had Voltron to keep it that way. Emerald turned the corner and spotted the two. Strange. The lion had yet to leave Katie's side since the two reunited. The lion bounded over to the male and fellow animal.

"She is with her family. I was sent to gather up Voltron and her friends for the Great Dinner," the lion explained and continued on, them both understanding who she meant by 'she.' Shiro looked down to his lion and decided it was defiantly time to go eat. They both were hungry.

During the dinner, Lotor shocked them all with an announcement. "It may take time for me to change," he announced slowly, seemingly afraid of what their would reactions would be, "But I'd like to. I want to have the trust of my people, generals, and of Voltron. Do I have your consent to do this?" They looked at each other and laughed.

"Lotor, if you don't change, we will dethrone you, so of course you have our consent. Just don't do idiotic things like you're used to," Keith answered, arm around Lance's shoulder. The boy next to him nodded in agreement. Lotor smiled at the two.

"I agree with Keith," Katie said, followed by Shiro and Allura agreeing along. Hunk gave a thumbs-up, reassuring the king. Even the Holts nodded their heads along, despite two of them having previously been captured by the king.

"King Lotor, you have already changed in a good way and I believe you will continue to do so. You allowed me to see my family without anyone forcing you to. You kept all us prisoners fed so our lives would never falter and during the cold season, you brought covers. They were thin, but they were something," Mr. Holt acknowledged, reaching over the table to pat the boy on the shoulder. "If I was your father I'd be proud of you."

Lotor awkwardly coughed. "Off that note, I decided to look for a queen," he said and glanced at Katie before catching Shiro's glare. "Outside of the castle, of course. I know nothing of the cities and will need a bride who is well-versed in that subject." Allura nodded, agreeing, but Keith and Lance looked at Lotor in shock. (The boys were sure that the king had said something about wanting Katie.)

"I shall announce it tomorrow!" the ex-princess cheered, skimming the table's occupants before her eyes landed on Matt. "With Matt's help, of course! His looks will attract girls' attention. Though, I doubt anyone will offer themselves since your reputation is quite... questionable, Lotor."

"That's understandable," the king replied, shoving his fork into his steak.

"Katie, can we talk for a moment?" Shiro randomly asked, standing up from his barely touched plate. Everyone looked at him. "I have to ask you something... in private." Matt made suggestive faces at his friend and Mr. Holt raised an eyebrow before whispering to his wife.

"Sure," Katie said and followed the older out of the dining room. "What is this about?" she questioned once they were in the hallway. Shiro waited until after a passing maid had turned around the corner to say a word.

"Will you be this knight's princess? You weren't able to give a proper response due to our situation we had at that moment, so give it to me now. Lotor's announcement made me realize that I need to take you before someone else could. He obviously finds you intriguing," he finally remarked, earning a wide-eyed expression from Katie. Before he knew it, her lips had crashed into his.

"How's that for an answer?" she said once she pulled back. It was Shiro's turn to be shocked.

"A pretty good one," he admitted before pulling her into one more kiss. When they pulled apart, he whispered, "We better head back in." And so, they did.

Last chapter! I'm sorry if it seems rushed or I forgot something. And I'm sure my writing style is different since I went missing from Wattpad...
