Roman's POV
With everything going back to normal with me and Virgil and with our wedding coming up in less than 2 months, we've been really busy. Patton and Logan have been helping as well. And because of all this we all haven't getting as much rest and free time we kinda need. Especially Virgil. He wants everything to be perfect and that's putting him under a lot of pressure.
Lucky of him, I've been able to calm him down and get him through all this. As for Patton, he's been getting on me and Virgil's cases almost all the time. He's trying too hard on all of this. And like Virgil, he wants everything to be perfect. And he's making us do things that we already have covered for the wedding and things that are completely unnecessary to the wedding. Like right now. He wants me to go to our wedding location and try to see what time of day would be perfect for us to start the ceremony. Every hour of the day. But Patton's mind works differently from all of ours. In a good way. He does it for the good of me and Virgil. So I just does what he asked.
I walk through town my mind filled with many thought about the wedding. It's been about 2 weeks since Virgil came back and I was always by his side. We've never been apart. The only reason he isn't here with me now is because Patton took him to look for something nice to wear. Virgil isn't that "really fancy, formal" guy. He's kinda casual and simple. Which I'm totally fine with. He's perfect no matter what to me.
I was so lost in thought that I didn't even see me run into someone. A women to be exact. And I know I shouldn't really think this but...shes absolutely beautiful. She wore a somewhat fancy light blue dress with a clean apron on, her red-ish/brown-ish hair was put up in a bun and she had a hat that matched her dress, along with black flats.
"Im so sorry ma'am."
"Don't worry about it. I'm fine. Hey, your Prince Roman right?"
"Well yes. Sorta. No longer a prince anymore. And no offense but how do you know? No one here knows about me."
"I know cause I lived in the village you once ruled."
"Oh...how is it over there?"
"Pretty bad. Me and a few other towns folk were lucky to escape. And just letting you know. The ones who escape don't blame you for leaving. We understood."
"Really? I still feel guilty about leaving."
"If you don't mind me asking. Why did you leave? I never really understood the real reason why?"
"Because I wanted what was best for my bo- my friends."
"Oh...But is it true that your gay?"
"N-no...well yes and no. I'm..kinda in between I guess you can say."
"Oh. So what are you doing tomorrow? If you want to I would like to see you again."
"Im not doing anything tomorrow I think. But I'd like to see you again."
"Ok then. Great. Uhh...meet me in the food market. Around this time. Maybe a bit later."
"Of course. Oh and I never got your name."
"My name is Scarlet. See you tomorrow Roman."
"Bye."
The entire time we were talking i was kinda blushing. Surprised she didn't notice. I'm kinda nervous about meeting her again tomorrow. But at the same time im thinking about this not being right. Me and Virgil's wedding is in less than 2 months. And we need to still discuss a few things.
But if I'm being honest, I could use about a one week break. Maybe being and hanging out with Scarlet could be helpful. I mean she is something beautiful. Like really beautiful.
