Logan's POV
I feel like I wasn't ready for this. But for Virgil and Roman, I'll do what I can. Me and Aaron quietly made our way through the kitchen and everything in there was disgusting! Dirty floors, stained countertops, mucky water in the sink, and just dirt gross stuff everywhere!
"You ok there Logan?" Aaron whispered.
"Yeah. It's just that this place is repulsive."
"I know. But I've been to worst."
"I know."
"Hey. What was going on with you and Patton. He seemed a bit upset when we slit up? You guys doing ok?"
"He seemed upset? That's very unlikely for him, he usually cheerful and full of glee."
"Have you noticed how down he's been lately? He doesn't seem like his normal self anymore."
"Well I don't know then."
"Really? Are you guys even dating or anything?!"
"Sure we are."
"Or are in one of those "just friends" relationships?"
"What's that?"
As i said that we finished getting through the kitchen and we were at the entrance to the hallways, where we saw a royal guard started walking by us. We stopped and hid within the dark walls of the kitchen, and surprisingly, he didn't noticed us. Me and Aaron sighed in relief.
"Ok so, what's a "just friends" relationship?"
"Its like when a couple that seems like a real couple, only act as just friends instead if something more like they say they are."
Realization hit me.
"I-is that what me and Patton are?"
"I don't know. It's your relationship. Although, you did see how Patton was with Asher, maybe he.... like him."
He said those last few words, sounding like they were full of hate.
"You think so?"
"I don't know. I hope not.....Cause I kinda like Asher." He muttered a bit too loudly
He quickly covered his mouth and looked at me and my face that had a 'I'm not surprised' face.
"You like Asher?"
He nodded his head with his hand still over his mouth.
"Is it bad that I do? I mean, someone like him with someone like me could never work."
"Look at Virgil and Roman. I think you might have a chance. And hopefully I get see what's going on with me and Patton."
"I hope you guys start doing well, I think you'll be a great couple. Someone like you, who acts like a brainy-act and someone like Patton, full of love and happiest, like a heart. I could see it working out if you actually try to keep the relationship going well."
I smiled at him and he smiled back. But with him looking back at me, he tripped over a folded up part of the red rug in the hallway, making a big crash into the wall and causing a small vase to fall.
"Who goes there!???!!!"
Me and Aaron looked at each other. He gave me a 'what do we do now' face. I quickly though of a plan. I grabbed his hand and started to run.
