On The Run

Anxiety's POV

Me and Asher quietly snuck out of the dungeon of the castle. It was about midnight at the time and we hid out for hours, waiting for the right time to escape. But guards were surrounding the perimeter of the castle. So escaping this place without being seen is gonna be tough.

We got out of the dungeon without being seen. But there were guards all over the main hallway leading to the front of the castle. So no one can go in or out.

"Asher. How are we gonna get out?"

"Simple. We go to the back of the castle. Barely any guard are back there."

"What's in the back of the castle?"

"Pretty much the kitchen and the old hallways no one uses. Apparently it's forbidden. No one can go through it. But we're about to. It's our way out of here."

"Ok. How do we get there?"

"Well there's two ways. We can take the shorter way which is going through the eastern hallways. But if we do that, we'll have a more chance of getting caught by guards. But if go to the second level and sneak through the hallways up there, we use the back stairs and go down there leading us to the back of the castle. But if we do that, then Alice will most likely hear us. She's up the entire night training. Then she'll kill us."

"So what do you think we should do?"

"That's for you to decide."

The pressure was on me and I'm never good under pressure. It's in my nickname. But I had to make the right decision. Either take the short way and risk getting caught by guards. Or go to the second floor and risk getting killed by Alice.

I thought about it for awhile. But we didn't have that much time. I had to make the right decision.

"Well? Come on Virgil. I'm trying to include you in this. What's your decision?"

"I-I......"

Roman's POV

We searched all over the town. Even the outer parts of town. Still nothing.

"You doing ok Roman?" Patton asked.

"Im just worried. Why does everything that's dangerous happen to Virgil?"

"Well not trying to make fun of you fiance, but he is probably the weakest out of all of us. Everyone things he can't do anything for himself."

"He's not like that. He's stronger, more confident, he's can fight for himself. I just need to be by side more. I shouldn't have let his happen. We made an agreement to make sure that we give each other some free time to ourselves. I didn't want to agree to it. I love spending time with him. He wanted the space. So I gave it too him. Now he's missing again."

"It wasn't your fault ok? You wanted to start your guy's lifelong relationship right. And that's what your did. And what are you doing now? Looking for him, and till I won't stop until he's founded again right?"

I nodded my head.

"Then that proves that you care deeply about Virgil. He knows that you do."

"Thanks guys. I appreciate this and all that you do for me and Virgil."

"Well you mean a lot to us Roman. But I guess we'll have to leave town."

"Why exactly?"

"Cause. If Virgil isn't in the town, then he's somewhere else. Any idea where?"

"Who knows? He could be anywhere."

"Think. There's gotta be a place."

All three of us were silent and thinking. Until Patton tensed up and turned a bit pale.

"What Patton?"

"I think I know where he might be."

"Where?"

"Me and Virgil's home kingdom. That terrible place, he might be there."

"What makes you think that?"

"Because. I found out that his so-called parents have taken over the kingdom. Made is worst that before."

"We should go there first. Try to sneak in. I'll do anything for Virgil. Even if that means getting myself caught by his parents."

"Lets go then."

We all left. On our way to find Virgil. I don't care what I get myself into. For the love of my life, I'll do anything for him. As long as he's not hurt. I hope he ok.
