Roman's POV
The next morning I woke earlier than I usually do. At this time Virgil was still sleeping and I wanted to do something for him again. I know, I spoil him way too much. But he's the love of my life. What can i say? So I quietly got ready and left the house without bothering him. And the village we live in is so much better.
I walked through the village looking for what I could do for him. As I walking, I remembered that there's this shop that Virgil really likes. I got to the shop and the owner knew me already.
"Hey there Roman. What do ya need?"
The guy's name is Ryan.
"Hey Ryan. Do you know if there anything here that Virgil may like or want?"
"Yeah. He comes he all the time. And I always seeing him eyeing this one particular item."
He walked away and came back is a cute look kitten figure. It looked like it was made from some sort of dark purple crystal. And it's perfect.
"He actually wants this?"
"Im guessing he does. You know how he is."
"Yeah."
I looked at the price. No wonder he couldn't get it. But I got it for him anyways.
"Thanks Ryan."
"No problem Roman. Say 'hi' to Virgil for me."
"Sure thing."
I left the shop and made my way home. As I walking, I accidentally ran into someone.
"Oh. Sorry."
It was a man.
"No it's fine. My fault anyways."
I helped him up and for some reason, he just stared at me.
"Oh. Hi. I'm Aaron."
"Roman. Nice to meet you."
"Yeah. Oh can you help me though. I just moved here and I need to know where's the food markets at."
"Oh. You can just follow me. I'm heading there anyways."
"Thanks."
He picked up his bag and we walked to the market together. Making small talk. I actually found out that he's from that terrible kingdom Virgil came from. I felt kinda sorry for him having to live in a place like that.
When we got to the food market we ended up shopping together. I was getting Virgil's favorite foods he likes to eat. And Aaron was getting tons of stuff. Which is normal if you just moved here. But in the end he got so many stuff that I had to help him carry them all back to his house. Which isn't far from me and Virgil's.
"Thanks so much Roman. So sorry I bothered you."
"Do worry about it. Always happy to help."
"How do I repay you?"
"No need to. I'm fine."
"You sure? I felt like I was a burden to you."
"No you weren't. But I have to go."
"Ok. Bye then."
"Bye."
I haven't even realized that I've been gone for almost half of the day. Virgil must be up by now. I grabbed my thing and ran back to the house. But when I got there....
Virgil was gone?!!
