Being Watched

Roman's POV

This is one of the bestest dates me and Virgil ever had before. I've out done myself this time, I'm sure of it. And Virgil seems to be having an amazing time.

We ate at the table and just kept each other's company by talking and joking with each other, like we always do. Afterwards, we explored the area. Looking at the plants and flowers around us. It was beautiful.

"So, you ready to go?"

"Yeah. I'm actually kinda tired."

I walked back to the gazebo, blew out the candles, and picked Virgil up bridal style and carried him all the way back home.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Cause I want to. Problem?"

"No. I'm good."

I smiled at him, kissed his forehead and continued walking back home. The sun hasn't even set all the way and yet Virgil fell asleep on my arms. He looked cute as always though.

We got home in no time. I gently and quietly walled to Virgil's room and set him in bed. Shadow was laying on the bed as well. And when he saw Virgil he tired to wake him up by messing with his hair and meowing.

"No Shadow. Let Virgil sleep. Come on, let's feed you."

He meowed and let me carry him back to the kitchen. I feed him and let him come up to my room with me.

I began to play with him with a few of his favorite toys. The house was quiet. So was the town. And I don't know why. It's kinda freaky you listen carefully.

As I was playing with Shadow I heard a branch crack from outside my window. I jumped up a little bit in surprise.

"Shadow, did you hear that?"

He looked at me in confusion and meowed. I then heard another beach crack. By now I was scared. I felt like I was being watched or something. I walked over to my window and closed it.

I stood in the middle of my room, paranoid on what could happen next. I thought about what could of possibly made those branch crack noises.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by someone knocking at the front door. I jumped in surprised and felt my heart racing. I looked at Shadow and he was curled up in a little ball. I don't know if he was scared or trying to fall asleep.

I heard the door being knocked on once again. I left my room and slowly answered it. Only to see Logan and Patton. I sighed in relief and let them in.

But before I closed the door i saw someone outside across the pathway of my house. It was just looking at me. I closed the door feeling paranoid again.
