Evelyn was currently eating in their new kitchen, while Jemison sat beside her shoving bacon into his mouth. Evelyn looked over at him and giggled, " You're such a carnivore." she joked, taking a sip of her orange juice.
It was the day before her birthday, she had already gotten her letter on what she needed for school so she was rather excited to go book shopping in the wizarding town that was Diagon Alley. When her mother had told her about the trip she had nearly jumped for joy.
Memories had flooded her head, memories from a time that seemed to have never existed, something she wished was true.
Diagon Alley seemed something short of a dream. Yes, there was magical towns in the states, but this was Diagon Alley. Recollections of watching movies and visualizations of the town brought her to a dream-like state of wonder and excitement.
He shrugged, " Well it's good." he defended.
Lindsey rolled her eyes, " Of course it is, I cooked it after all."
The two siblings laughed softly as Samson entered the room. Samson was to go to the Ministry for orientation today, he said it may be over soon or it may be later.
" You want somethin' to eat before you leave, honey?" asked Lindsey.
Samson looked up at his wife and shook his head, " I haven't the time, darling-." he stopped mid-sentence when he saw the spread laid out before him, he took a second to collect himself before clearing his throat and nodded," Er um yes, if you could put some in a container please."
Lindsey smirked, " Of course." she chuckled.
Jemison grabbed a cinnamon bun and then proceeded to shove it in his mouth, Evelyn followed suit.
Samson came back, tie in hand, " Thank you, love, I'll just be going." he said, adjusting his tie. He leaned in to grab the container but Lindsey caught him by his shirt's collar then proceeded to pull him into a passionate and rather loud kiss.
Jemison proceeded to pretend gag and vomit. His mother shot him a glare, " Oh hush up, I've seen you practically suck the face off one of them girls you used to date."
Jemison had the decency to blush and before it could escalate any further Samson shoved a newspaper at him, and with a hard look he said, " Find a job."
He patted his son on the back and kissed Evelyn's forehead, " I'll see you all later!" he called before walking out the door.
Evelyn waved then turned back to her plate where she finished her toast. Jemison groaned before promptly slamming his head on the table.
" Now, now Jemison you're gonna hurt the table- I mean your head sugga'." Lindsey chastised. She began to put dishes in the sink and leftovers in plastic containers, not willing to waste perfectly fine food.
" As Y'all know we're goin' out today so I can look for a buildin' that's up for sale and Evelyn can get her books, so I suggest we hurry-" she stopped in the middle of her sentence when she noticed that the two weren't even dressed.
Her hands found their way to her hips, " Y'all ain't even dressed, now go up there and put on somethin'."
The two were up, grabbing their plates and putting them beside the sink before rushing upstairs to change, not wanting to upset their mother further.
