They were officially moved in, Evelyn glanced at the new furniture and frowned, she resented this beautiful house. She resented the change and what it meant. Just a few days ago she had to resign from St. Mungo's and now she felt incompetent and useless. What the hell was wrong with her? She needed to get a bloody grip.
" Are you alright, Ev?' asked Sirius before closing the oak door.
Evelyn felt tears prick at her russet eyes, " I absolutely despise crying," she spat, " but it seems it's all I can do lately,"
The silver eyed man frowned and approached her, " You just need to get better, Ev-"
" Better?!" she screamed, spinning around, " This is me now, Sirius, there isn't any getting better- ,"
Angry tears flowed freely down her tan cheeks, " Everything is falling apart! I'M FALLING APART!"
Regulus, the Lupins, the Potters, the Evans, her job, her own fucking head- she was losing everything, it was all slipping between her fingers and no matter how hard she tried to catch it she couldn't. She felt helpless, trapped in her own body, and no matter how hard she dug her nails into ledge she could never pull herself up.
Evelyn flew up the stairs, locking the bedroom door behind her.

irius thought about running after her, but knew she just needed some alone time.
After about an hour or so later, Sirius walked up the stairs carrying two cups of coffee. He knocked on the door and after a minute or so he went in. He glanced over towards the king sized bed, she wasn't there, he looked over to the window as he felt a draft and frowned.
Evelyn was sitting at the bay window. She had on one of her long white night gowns that went down to her feet and her knees were pulled to her chest and her arms were wrapped around them. Her russet eyes were slightly red and looking at the wall in front of her.
Sirius sighed, she'd zoned out again. He set down the coffees and went over to her. " Hey love?" he asked, shaking her shoulder slightly. She looked up," I'm sorry." she whispered.
He kissed the top of her head," It's fine love." He grabbed his wand and made the cups come to them. He handed her one and took a sip.
" I'm not as involved with the Order as you and....What will I do?" she asked. Sirius smiled," Well.." he sat down beside her and looked out the window that overlooked the garden," Well that's not a pretty sight." Evelyn looked down and frowned, over grown grass, weeds, wild flowers, and rotting fire wood.
" Yeah...." she said. Sirius looked over, " Something you could do, and I can help." Evelyn's frown deepened," Lot of work...." she said. Sirius snickered," Well we do have wands."
" Don't be a smart ass."
Sirius smirked," Oh you love me." he said leaning in. Evelyn glanced to his lips and back to his eyes, " Only your body." she teased. Sirius gasped," You wound me." he joked.
Sirius scooped her up and kissed her right on the mouth.

Nicole held Marlene to her chest and ran her hand through her girlfriends golden locks and sighed, " What's wrong, babe?" she asked looking up.
Nicole smiled down at her, " You know me too well,"
Blue eyes squinted, " You say that as if it was a bad thing," she hummed, pressing a kiss to Nicole's collarbone, " Now, what is it,"
Her green eyes went to the ceiling of their flat, " I'm worried about, Evelyn, she's not doing good Marley," she whispered.
Marlene sat up, allowing the sheets to fall off of her and cupped Nicole's cheek in her hand, " Right now we can only be there for her, Evelyn's tough, it's going to be okay, Nikki,"
