Elevator Emergency(based on a dream I had last night)

One Saturday morning, Jimmy and I decided to go to Watertower Place for a little bit of early Christmas shopping. Cindy was watching the kids. While we were shopping and walking around the mall, I decided to check out a store on the first floor while Jimmy caught up with the guys at a bar. "Call me if anything happens. I love you." were the last words I would hear and his kiss that I would feel before I got on the elevator. Little did I know, something was about to happen. I pressed the 'Close' button on the elevator. I looked around, I noticed I was alone. As the elevator went down, it jolted to a stop. The next thing I knew, just after I pressed the 'Call for Help' button and explained what was happening to the person on the other line, the elevator car fell straight down. I braced myself and called Jimmy. I explained what was happening and he said that Cruz would radio the station. I hung up after I told him that I loved him, put my phone back in my purse, and as I braced for impact, I blacked out.

I woke up and realized that I was at the bottom of the elevator bay. I heard a door above me being cracked open and people carefully sliding down the cable. The next thing I know, I heard the metal above me being cut and that piece of it land beside me. "Caroline? Are you alright?" I heard Severide. He and Cruz carefully climbed down to help me. "My neck.." I mumbled. They carefully lifted me up into a harness, and with my bags and artificial leg in tow, lifted me up to safety. Gabby and Sylvie helped Severide and Cruz onto the stretcher. "Caroline? Can you hear me?" Gabby asked as she put a cervical collar around my neck. "Yes." I replied. Before they wheeled me off, I handed Jimmy the bags while Sylvie put my leg back on. "I'm okay, honey." I told him. I blacked out again as they wheeled me out of the mall.
