Dr. Halstead came to check up on me the next morning. "Hey Halstead. What's up?" I said, trying to sit up...but the dull pain in my side forced me to lay back. "Take it easy," Halstead told me as he closed the curtain and sat on a stool next to me, "...you'll need to take it easy for a few days here." I grew concerned, "Is everything ok?" I asked. He sighed and said, "While we were running tests on you after the procedure.....w-we...", he gulped back tears, "...Caroline, y-you have leukemia." I went into a state of shock, "N-no, this can't be......oh my god." Tears rolled down my face. "We're going to help you fight this." Halstead assured me, "I know you're a fighter." I nodded. After more talking, I called Jimmy and told him. He and Hermann arrived shortly after. Halstead stayed.

"How do we treat this?" Jimmy asked Halstead. "There are two options....chemo or a natural way to kill the cancer. You can choose either, but a bone marrow transplant is mandatory." Halstead explained. Jimmy and I looked at each other and said, "Natural way...with the bone marrow transplant." After more talking, we started the natural route to kill the cancer.
