We arrived at a two story building, it was another two alarm fire. We hopped out and geared up right away. Mouch, Severide, Casey, Hermann, Cruz, and I rushed in to call people out. "Fire Department! Call out!" Hermann yelled. We heard voices on the second floor and followed them. We turned on our flashlights because the smoke on the second floor was so heavy. We found three people lying on the floor of the hall. Cruz, Hermann, and Casey picked them up and removed them from the building while Severide, Mouch, and I looked for more victims. There were none. "Alright. Let's get out of here!" I yelled. As soon as I said that and as soon as we got to the last step, the roof caved in. We ducked for cover as the building collapsed. "Are you guys alright?!" Severide yelled. Mouch and I yelled back, "Yeah!" Boden radioed me, "Borelli, do you copy?!" I radioed back, coughing, "Copy. We're alright. We're trapped." I heard Severide and Mouch pushing back rubble. I started to push back rubble as well. "We're going to get you guys out!" I heard Boden say on my radio. "Alright." I replied. "Severide! Mouch! Where are y'all?!" I yelled, trying to find them. They yelled out where they were and I bear crawled to them, pushing back rubble. "Boden and them are going to get us out. Where in the heck are we?" I told them. "Looks like we're still on the first floor." Severide said. He and Mouch were under an office desk. We continued talking to each other until we heard people clearing what was left of the building. I guess we were all in so much shock from what had happened that we didn't know that we had injuries. They were not major, but we still had to stay at Med overnight.
