After learning that David and Liza were back together, I just really wanted to do whatever I needed to do to not think about that.
So, I get in my car, and I drive to Scott's house, hoping that David wasn't there. I walk in the door, without knocking, to see Scott, Toddy, Jason, Kristen, Zane, and Heath. They all look at me like I'm crazy. But I was so fueled by my anger from what I found out, that I didn't care.
"Uh, hey, baby," Zane said. "What's up?"
"Let's throw a party." I say.
"I'm down!" Toddy said, raising his hand.
Heath looks concerned. He furrows his eyebrows and stands from the couch as he says, "Where's this coming from?"
"I just really want a fun night. So, what do you guys say? Party here tonight?" I ask.
They all look at each other and kind of shrug. Scotty finally speaks up and says, "I'm in." And everyone else agrees with him.
"Alright, invite everyone. Like I'm talking everyone. I want to meet new people and just have a good time. This house needs to be full of people." I say.
Toddy nods and says, "I'm on it!" Before pulling out his phone.
I walk over to Kristen and introduce myself because we haven't actually met yet, and the same with Jason.
"You know," Jason says, "I feel like I've already met you because David talks about you all the time, but I'm glad I finally actually met you."
The name hurts me to hear, but I push past it. "Same here!" I say. I turn to Kristen and say, "you should come out with Corinna, Andrea, Gabbie, and me soon!"
She nods and smiles saying, "Definitely!"
I smiled and then I got a tap on my shoulder from Heath. I turn to him and say, "yes?"
"Um, can I talk to you alone for a minute?" He asked.
I was confused, but I agreed and followed him through the glass door to the backyard. "What's up?" I asked.
He raised his eyebrows at me. "What's up with you?"
"Uhh... Nothing?" I say. He gives me a knowing look. I sigh before saying. "Look, I've been stressed lately. I just think we should have a party. What's so wrong with that?"
He purses his lips as he thinks about it for a moment. "Nothing, I guess. I'm just checking up on you," He said.
I smiled up at him and put my hand on his shoulder. "And I appreciate that, Heath. Thank you for being a good friend." I said before leaning up and kissing his cheek. "I'll see you tonight!"
I walk throw the door and back into the house, but I stop short as I see David standing there, looking at Heath and I. His jaw was clenched, like he was mad. He had no right to be. He has a girlfriend and Heath is my friend, so if he was mad, he would just have to get over it.
I walk right past David before telling everyone I would see them tonight and walked out the door.
I texted Gabbie and told her that we need to go shopping for tonight. She was all for it. I meet her on Hollywood boulevard and we go from there.
Later on, Andrea and Corinna come over to the apartment to get ready together. I texted Kristen and told her she was more than welcome to come over as well. I didn't know if she actually would, because she is really close with Liza, so she might just hang out with her. But I invited her anyways.
We were all listening to my Spotify and doing our makeup when I got a text from Heath. It said, "Do you want me to buy you any alcohol?"
I was actually only twenty years old and couldn't buy alcohol. It was actually really sweet that he thought of me. "Sure! I can pay you back. I like Red's Apple Ale." I replied.
