David and I arrived back at mine and Gabbie's apartment around 9:30. He grabbed my hand as he walked me upstairs. He stopped in front of the door and pulled me by my hand into a kiss. It was so quick I almost felt a little dizzy, but it passed at the feeling of his lips.
It was a short but sweet kiss. He pulled away, smiling, face still close to mine. "I had a really good time tonight," He said.
"Me too," I said.
"Sleep well, I'll see you tomorrow." He said.
"Okay, text me when you make it home," I said, placing my key into the door watching him as he walked away.
He said, "Okay." Then he turned back around a continued walking towards the elevator as I made my way into the apartment.
"Okay, details!" Gabbie said, waiting on the couch with a glass of wine.
I giggled and came inside and sat down on the couch and told her all about the date.
"He rented a helicopter?!" She said and I nodded. "Wow, talk about first date goals."
"I know!" I said. "It was crazy, but super fun."
"And he asked you to be his girlfriend? Two days after he broke up with his ex?" She said, looking a little uneasy.
"Yeah.." I say, trailing off.
"Is that the best idea?" She asked.
"Well, he just seemed so determined. Like this is what he wanted. And it's what I want. So, I said yes." I said, shrugging and looking over to her. "Is that wrong?"
"Honey, if it's what you want, then do it. But maybe don't announce it to the public just yet." She said.
"Yeah, probably not a good idea." I said, thinking about how we already posted stuff to each other's Snapchat stories tonight that make it look like we were on a date.. which is because we were, obviously.
"Well, I'm happy for you." Gabbie said, smiling to me.
"Thanks, Gab," I say smiling back to her. "I think I'm gonna go film my video now, if that's okay." I continue as I get up off the couch to head into the bedroom.
"Are you going to the studio this late?" She said, looking over her shoulder at me.
"Actually, this one is a little different." I say, walking into the bedroom.
I set Gabbie's camera up and lights and start the camera and sit on the bed.
"Well, you guys might recognize this background as Gabbie's and that is because I borrowed it. I realize that it's been 3 or 4 weeks now since I've posted. I know I don't have the biggest following, but I'm grateful for the people who do watch my videos and subscribe to me. I have a goal to become a dancer, and I think YouTube can help me do that. But I have been slacking lately, and I have a good reason why." I said, opening up to the soon-to-be viewers of this.
"Recently, my dad passed away. He got into a car accident.. because he was driving drunk. This is not something I'm proud to say, but on behalf of my father, I want to say publicly that he was a good man. He had the occasional drink, and sometimes it was too much. But my dad was a good dad to me and my sister, Jessi. He was at every dance recital. He was at every choir concert of my sisters. He was always there for me and now suddenly, he isn't. Like I said, I know that I don't have the biggest following. But if I can even reach one person when I say this, then maybe it will make a difference. Drunk driving is not okay. Be responsible. If not for yourself, for other people that are out on the road." I continued on.
