David and I stared awkwardly at each other for a few moments.

"It's been a while," David said, looking down to his feet.

Four months to be exact.

"Yeah, it has.." I said trailing off.

The silence was deafening as neither one of us knew what to say. We both looked at each other knowing what happened that night that the tour came to L.A... but neither of us mentioning even a whisper of it. We both felt guilty.

"Hey baby," Heath said, coming outside but stopping short when he saw David. "Hey, man. How have you been?"

"Great." David said dryly before walking past Heath. "See ya, Car."

"Bye.." I said trailing off before looking back at Heath.

"What was going on out here?" Heath said.

"Nothing, we were just talking." I said, shrugging, but even saying that made me feel awful. I'm so tired of lying to everyone.

But I can't focus on the past. I have to focus on the here and now... which is Heath.

"Okay, I was coming out here to tell you we were ordering Chinese." He said, shrugging off the David thing quickly, and wrapping his arms around my waist.

I smiled up at him, wrapping my arms around his neck. It's not that I don't care for Heath. He is great. He treats me like a princess and he cares so much for me. How can I just walk away from him? He will take care of me.

I do love him. I do. I just couldn't get myself to say it out loud yet.

He kissed me and we went back inside and called in the Chinese. After a pretty laid back night, all of us hanging out, even David, Zane comes and sits beside me on the couch. Heath was filming some bit with Scott, so he had got up and left a while ago.

"Hey Z," I said, lamely, feeling tired.

"Baby, why so sad?"

"Not sad, just tired." I said, yawning.

"You sure?" He said, skeptically, raising an eyebrow. "Because I know the tea."

My heart pounded in my chest. "The tea?"

"About David," he said in a hushed tone.

My eyes went wide and looked around for other people, but they had gathered outside. "What?"

"Yeah," He said waving it off. "We all actually know."

"WHAT?" I asked whisper yelling, hitting Zane's arm.

"Damn, calm down, baby!" Zane said, pulling away for a moment. "Why are you tripping?"

"What do you mean? No one should know about that night." I said sternly.

"Well, I mean it's a given that Gabbie and Jess know. They were there." Zane said, shrugging. "The only one who really doesn't know is Heath."

I furrowed my eyebrows before realizing that Zane was not talking about the same night with David as I am. He is talking about the night that David showed up at my door, roses in hand. The night that Gabbie herself (or Jess for that matter) has still not told me.

Gabbie avoided telling me at all costs. Like I said, I never thought Gabbie would lie to me, but here I am lying to her.

You see, I found out from David himself that he showed up looking for me.

It was four months ago.

I drank my bottle of water as I walked down the hallway backstage, dabbing my sweaty face with my towel.

"Good job tonight, girl!" Jackie, another dancer complimented me.

"Thanks!" I said, still breathing a little heavy.

I walk into the dancer's dressing room and change into some sweatpants and my clickbait shirt and throw my hair up in a bun. We were staying the night in L.A. and I planned on going over to the guys house and surprising them. Heath would be joining me for the rest of the tour tomorrow morning when we leave.

But as I walked outside the arena, my plans were thrown out the window as David Dobrik stood before me.

"David?"

"Hey, Car."

"What.. are you doing here?"

"Doing what I wanted to do two months ago when I missed you before your flight."

I raised my eyebrows. "Which is?"

He sighed, looking down as he came closer to me. "I came to your apartment the day you left. I even had flowers. But you had already left."

"David, what are you talking about?" I asked, confused, and almost a little angry I didn't know this happened.

"Yeah.."

"What did you come there for?"

"To tell you I love you."

My flashback was interrupted by Zane. "You didn't tell Heath about it, right?"

I shook my head. "No, I didn't.

"I hate lying to him about it. But nothing happened, and you two are fine. So, I just don't see a reason to hurt him or cause drama."

I nodded. "I don't want to either."

Everyone came back inside, and Zane got up, assuming Heath would resume his spot with me on the couch.

But then I saw a little brown girl coming in behind Kristen.

"Liza?" I said hopping up off the couch and walking towards her.

"Car?" She asked, a smile coming to her lips.

I ran up and hugged her, smiling. I pulled away and made eye contact with David first, who was confused. Then I turn to see most everyone confused.

"What is happening right now?" Toddy said, looking at us like he couldn't believe what he was seeing, the same expression on the others faces, except for Heath.
