After spending the whole day with David yesterday, I went back home to mine and Gabbie's apartment. I decided to start going through my Spotify playlist to find a song to choreograph for my next video that I needed to do within the next two days. Stressful considering I have work tomorrow.

I decide on the song "Dirty Work" by Lil' Dicky. I put my headphones on and start to work on choreo until I'm tired. I don't have to be at work until 11:30, so I watch an episode or two of How I Met Your Mother and cuddle up on the couch to go to sleep.

I wake up the next morning at about 9:30, and I have a text from David. "Good morning, beautiful. ❤️ don't work too hard today."

I smile and reply, "Good morning, same goes for you 😊 "

I go take a shower and put on my uniform for work and I'm out the door. I have a change of clothes in my car and I'm going directly to the studio and when I get off work at 5 to work on filming the video with Gabbie and Andrea.

I get to work and the place is crazy hectic. After about an hour of craziness, it slows down just a little bit. Enough for me to realize that Ryan came in. "Let me guess," I said. "Iced black coffee?"

"Add a muffin to that too. Blueberry," He said, handing me his card.

I fought the urge to roll my eyes as I ran his card. "Thank you," I said, handing him his card.

I turn around to begin making his coffee when he says, "I'm sorry about your dad."

I freeze, not moving an inch. I gulp and turn towards him, not sure what I'm going to say. "Thanks.." I say, unsurely.

"I saw your YouTube video," he explained.

"You watch my videos?" I ask, surprised.

He shrugged. "I do."

I turn back to his coffee, feeling completely weirded out by this conversation. I put the lid on his coffee, grab his muffin and hand him his order. Our hands touched and I looked up to see him already looking at me. "Have a good day," I said.

"If you ever wanna talk.. just call." He says, and before I can even answer, he's gone.

I stand there dumbfounded for a moment. "Carlie? Are you okay?" I hear from behind me.

I turn to see my manager, Peter, standing there looking concerned. "Yeah, I'm.. fine." I said, stumbling through my words.

"Are you sure?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

I sighed. "Well, honestly.. that guy makes me uncomfortable."

"Why?" He asked. And suddenly, I'm telling Peter my whole life story. I'm not sure why, but he seemed friendly enough. I told him everything about Ryan up to when I filed the restraining order.

"Wow," He said. "I don't even know what to say."

"I don't either, and I'm living it." I sighed, looking around at the empty tables I needed to clean. I grab a dish towel and wet it, ready to clean up.

"You know, he is in breech of the restraining order by continuing to come here after he discovered that you work here." He said as I walk from behind the counter out to the tables. "You could report him."

"Well, he hasn't really done anything wrong. He just orders his coffee and goes." I said.

Peter shrugged, beginning to clean up equipment. "I'm just saying that if your uncomfortable, there are things you can do to help."

I thought about what he said as I cleaned the tables and part of me knew he was probably right. But I just felt bad to get him in trouble when it seemed like he was just trying to be nice to me. Keyword being seemed.
