I queued up the video from Alex's laptop to the TV with an HDMI cord. "Okay, are you guys ready?" I asked.
"Yes!" They all said at once. Gabbie had of course seen it, she helped filmed some parts of the intro and danced too. She also introduced me to Corinna and Andrea who also helped by being dancers.
But David, Alex, Scotty, Toddy, Heath, and Zane had yet to see it. And I was kind of nervous for them to. This was a side of me that they hadn't seen.
"Alright," I said, "here goes nothing."
I tapped the space bar, signaling for the video the begin. The video starts with me walking down the street with earbuds in my ears and just jamming to some music when suddenly I notice a dance studio and I look intrigued because I hear music. It's the beginning of the song I choreographed which was Yonce (Bodega Remix) by Beyoncé.
I start to walk towards the studio, when I hear voice overs of things like, "she can't dance, her moves are so slutty, she's a whore, she only gets likes because she's basically strip teasing".
I stop short and look down as the music stops, but then Gabbie shows up and says, "Screw what they think."
I smile and nods at her and we run into the studio. The actual song begins and Andrea and Corinna are already doing choreography. Gabbie jumps in and I just stand back. I walk in the middle, pretending to be confused, but then as the beat drops, I jump straight into the choreography.
I look over to see everyone's reactions and they are glued to the screen. I look back at myself and I actually feel pretty proud of the dance.
I got several "oos" and "ahs" from the guys and eventually the video ends with credits of everyone's names and such.
All he guys started clapping and stuff and I honestly wanted to cry.
"Yas, baby! Who knew you could dance like that??" Zane said, using his mock white girl voice.
I shrugged with a smile as everyone kept complimenting me.
David smiled down at me as everyone else's comments begin to die down and they began to focus on other things. "That was incredible," he said.
I shrugged again. "It's just dancing."
"Just dancing?" He said, raising his eyebrows. "No, you put your heart and soul in that. It was great. I loved the intro!"
"Wow, that means a lot, David." I said with a smile.
"Anytime," He said smiling back at me. Man, I really am beginning to feel bad for not telling him about Ryan. Maybe I should.
"Hey, David-" I began, but Heath came up.
"Sorry to interrupt, guys," Heath said. "But, David, um.."
"What?" David asked, urging him to continue.
"Uhh," Heath said, trying to stall whatever he was going to say. It must be bad. "... Liza just called you."
David's smile dropped from his face.
Who's Liza?
David disappeared and I never saw him again the rest of the night. I was sitting on the couch looking at my phone when Heath came and sat next to me.
"What's up?" I asked him.
"Are you okay?" He asked in a serious voice.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"You just look very deep in thought.." he noticed.
I was. I couldn't stop wondering who the heck Liza was and where David went. "I'm fine," I lied.
