"I'll tell you what's going on," I said, standing up. "I'm going home."

I brushed past David and out the door, but he followed me. "Carlie!" He yelled after me. "Wait!"

I spun around to face him and he stopped running as I suddenly stopped in front of him. "What?"

"Where are you going? What's wrong?" He asked, throwing his arms up.

"What's wrong is that you slept with Andrea, so I'm going home where I don't have to see either of you!" I said before turning away from him, but he grabbed my arm and turned me back to him.

"Do you hear how hypocritical you sound right now?" David said incredulously.

I tried to pull my arm away, but he kept his grip. "Let me go."

"No!" He said. "This is bullshit. You do the same thing to me and lie to me about it for months and then when I do it, it's 'oh fuck David'."

"Oh, so you think because I do something bad to you, which was a mistake, that you doing it back is okay? That's not how this works, David!"

"Well, enlighten me then, and please explain to me how this works, Carlie."

He still was gripping my arm, I wiggled in his grasp, but I went nowhere. "It obviously doesn't work. So, why don't you just let me go and we can be done with each other."

He pulled me by my arm into him. "This isn't fair, Carlie. You don't have a right to be mad at me for this."

I looked at David like I didn't even recognize who was standing in front of me. "Oh, I have every right to be mad. You slept with my friend! Yes, I know I done the exact same thing, and I understood why you were mad. Now, you do this to get back at me? That's immature, childish, and not at all like you, David."

He just looked at me for a moment and I felt his grip loosen, so I took the opportunity and pulled my arm away from his grasp. He didn't try to stop me, so I walked away and went home.

The next morning, I got a phone call from Peter.

"Peter?" I answered.

"Hey, Carlie! I know things are weird between us. But, I'm calling with some wonderful news!"

I sat up in my bed, and my heart was racing with anticipation. "Yes?"

"You got the spot on the tour!" Peter yelled happily into the phone.

"Oh my gosh," I said, smiling ear to ear and my hand went to my face in shock. "For real?"

"For real!"

"Oh my gosh!" I screamed and jump up to my feet with excitement. "This is amazing!"

"I knew you could do it!" Peter said.

"Thank you, Peter." I said, grinning. "I'm just so happy."

"And you should be. You leave Saturday." He said.

With me leaving in a few days, I went ahead and started packing. I would be gone for 6 months traveling all of the United States and part of Canada. This was really going to be a big break for me. This is something that I've always dreamed of.

I told Gabbie and Jessi first. They freaked out and we all jumped up and down on the couch screaming for a moment and it was probably the happiest that I had been in months.

Then, I went over to Scott's place and told him, Zane, Kristen, Josh, Jason, Dom, Todd, and Trisha.

After all the excitement with them (yes there was some filming involved where we went outside and lit some fireworks and screamed into the camera), Zane pulled me aside. "Have you told Heath yet?"

"I haven't." I said. "Where is he anyways?"

"Well he actually just bought his own house."

I looked at Zane, shocked. "What, you mean, he moved out? He's not living with you?"

He shook his head. "He wants to try to be on his own for a while. I can give you his address if you want to go by before you leave. I know things never really got resolved between you two."

"Yeah, I think we both need some closure from everything. I've just had so much other drama going on."

"And he knows that. Just go talk to him." Zane said, before hugging me. "Good luck on tour."

"Thank you, Z."

So, after hugging everyone in a dramatic goodbye, I decided to go over to Heath's. I go up and press the doorbell and be opens the door with a surprised expression. "Car?"

"Hey Heath," I said, with a bittersweet smile. "Can we talk?"

I go inside and we sit down on the couch. "So, what's up?" He asked, and I told him about the tour. "Baby, that's great!" He yelled hugging me.

I smiled as his grip around me tightened for a moment. I rubbed his back. "I'm going to be gone for 6 months."

He pulled away with me still in his arms. "Oh wow.. have you... have you told David?"

I looked down. "No, I haven't. I don't know if I'm going to. I think we're done for good."

Heath reached up and tucked a hair behind my ear, placing his hand under my chin. "I'm sorry, baby."

I nodded bittersweetly as I rested my head into his hand. I felt oddly at ease here with him. "I thought maybe we should talk about everything that happened before I leave."

He nodded. "Okay."

"I'm sorry that I lead you on. And I'm sorry that I've left you hanging ever since my birthday. You were there for me with everything with David. You've always been there for me and I just push you off."

"Car, I meant what I said that night."

"What?"

He smiled, cradling my cheek for a moment. "I love you."

The Next Day...

David was pacing around his house. He wished with everything he could take back sleeping with Andrea. Not because she was a bad person or anything, but because it hurt Carlie so bad.

Yes, she had done the same to him, but she was right. He had no right to do it back to her just because of that. Two wrongs don't make a right. He felt guilty because it was the wrong thing to do because he done it for the wrong reasons. He slept with Andrea to get back at her, not because he liked her, which wasn't fair to Andrea either.

And he loved Carlie. Despite all of the bullshit they had went through, he really did love her. And he was tired of not having her. He wasn't mad anymore. They had both made mistakes, and he wanted to move on. He wanted to be with her.

"I'm going to get her back," he said out loud to himself. He grabbed his keys and was on the way to her apartment. He stopped and got some roses, and ran to the elevator when he got there. His nerves were off the charts, but he smiled to himself at the thought of finally being back with her.

The elevator dinged and he walked up to their apartment and knocked three times.

Gabbie swung the door open. "Hey.. David?" She said, confused looking down at the flowers in his hand.

"Hey," He said with his dopey smile. "Is Carlie here?"

Gabbie dropped her jaw and looked behind her to Jessi, searching for a way to tell him gently. "She didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" He said, smile still on his face despite the fact that he noticed the change in their behavior.

"She got the spot on tour," Gabbie said. "She's on the plane now going to New York."

David's smile dropped. "What?"

"She's going to be gone for six months."

David nodded and handed Gabbie the flowers before leaving slowly. Gabbie turned to Jessi, flowers in hand, jaw still dropped.
