"What do you mean, Gabbie?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"What do you mean, what do I mean?" She asked frantically as I stood there confused. "You and David just agreed to no more lies."
I shook my head. "I asked Zane to delete it. I'm sure he did."
"You might want to go off of a little bit more than trust for this one, Car." She said seriously. "I'd check and see."
"Maybe you're right.." I said.
"Oh, I'm always right. Here's another bit of advice.." she said and I looked up to her as she placed her hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes. "Even if there is no footage, it could still come out some how down the road. So, if it were me, I would tell David now."
"What? No way! He would never want to speak to me again!" I said.
She nodded. "He would be mad. But think about it.. would you rather tell him now, he be mad for a while, but eventually get over it because you at least told him yourself... or months or years down the road he find out for someone else?"
"Who says he has to find out?" I said, stubbornly. "If there's no footage, then the only people who could tell him are me, Zane, Heath, and you." I said. "And I know that me or you wouldn't."
"Of course I wouldn't," she said.
"Then we are good," I said grabbing David's clickbait hoodie off my bed and putting it on. "I'm going bowling with David and the guys if you want to come."
She looked disappointed, but she said "no, I'm good."
"Okay, see you later," I said walking out of my room and to David.
"What took so long?" He said, getting off the couch.
"Sorry, I was just talking to Gab." I said, pointing back towards my room.
"Was she mad?" He asked.
"About?" I asked, confused as we headed out the door.
"Us on her bed?" He said, confused but laughing.
"Oh!" I said. "No, she didn't care. We were taking about.. my audition coming up."
"Oh yeah, practice been going good for that?" He asked as he pressed the elevator button.
"Pretty good. There's only so much I can do because we don't get many details." I explained.
"How far away is it now?" He asked.
"About 3 weeks now." I said.
"And you still don't know who's tour you auditioned for?" He said as he leaned against the elevator.
"No idea." I said.
It was quiet for a moment, but then David slipped his hand into mine and I smiled up at him. "You know.." he started. "I love you."
"I love you too," I said with a smile as I leaned up and kissed him. I ran my hands through his hair and then I realized something and pulled away.
"What?" He said.
"You don't have your hat on," I said, smirking. "It's still in Gab's room."
He touched his hair to realize it wasn't there. "Crap, we gotta go back and get it." He said.
I pushed him back up against the elevator wall, my lips inches from his. "I think you look hotter without it." I whispered against his lips.
He licked his lips and said, "screw the hat" before kissing me again right as the elevator doors opened.
A few weeks later, I was at work when Peter came up and leaned against the counter beside me as I cleaned. "So, hows preparation for the audition going?"
"Well, it would be better if I knew what I was doing at the audition and who it was for." I said giving him a look.
He smirked. "I would tell you if I could."
"Yeah, yeah." I said waving him off.
"I'm sure you'll do fine. You already passed the video audition part of it all. I have faith you will get through." He said.
"Thanks, Peter." I said, smiling at him.
"Of course, anything for a talented friend." He said smiling.
I smiled as I finished cleaning which meant I was officially off work and could head to the studio. "Alright, Pete. I'm out."
"See you Saturday at the audition!" He said as I headed out the door and to the studio.
I walked in and headed to my usual room. I open the door without even looking in to find someone already dancing in the room. "Oh! I'm sorry!" I said, making the girl stop dancing and look up to me.
"Carlie?"
My heart sank. "Hey.. Liza."
She put her hands on her hips as she came over to me. "So, you coming to work on a new YouTube video?" She said.
"Actually I've been getting ready for an audition." I explained.
She squinted her eyes at me. "Me too.."
"Is it Saturday?" I asked, dreading the answer.
"Yes.." she said, looking me up and down as she realized what was happening. "So, we are both auditioning for the one spot in this tour that's open?"
"That we are," I sighed.
"Well.." she said, beginning to walk away. "Looks like you need to go find another open studio."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "So, you're telling me we can't share this huge room?"
"Exactly," She said, grinning at me sweetly.. but all I saw was venom in her eyes. "You stole my boyfriend, you won't steal my audition too."
"Okay, Wait a minute," I said walking up in front of her. "I didn't steal anyone."
"Oh, well what would you call it?" She said, anger showing now.
"I'd call it: he left you." I said.
I saw her eye twitch. "Listen, Car," She said, getting closer to my face. "I think it's best if you find yourself another studio before something bad happens."
"Oh really?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Really," She said crossing her arms and nodding.
I got closer to her face as I said, "fine," before walking towards the door.
"That's what I thought," she said under her breath.
I stopped and smirked as I turned in my place. "Yeah," I started, making her look over to me. "I think I'm good on rehearsals, so I'm gonna go hang out with my boyfriend."
She just looked at me and I smiled at her before continuing to walk out. I'm usually not petty, but that girl just irks me.
