Kinakabahan ako sa pinag-uusapanng dalawang 'to. Mukhang may pinagtatalunan sila't nagsasagutan kahit sa harap ng ibang tao. Kailangan ko nang makahanap ngparaan para makaalis dito. Isip, Judy, isip!

"Ane-san wa watashi no monodesu!" singit pa ni Kamina sa dalawa. Lalo tuloy akong nalintikan na. Hindi ko maintindihan ang mga nangyayari.

Sa sobrang nerbyos ko, hindi ko namalayang nagha-hyperventilate na pala ako. Hanggang sa nawalan na ko ng malay.

"That woman is mine just as I said, Tsuyoki- sama. Her betrothal with your son is null," Valence don't actually know what he's doing but his instincts tells him to act this way. He doesn't even understand himself. Instead of taking a peace nap in his dorm, here he is, challenging a yakuza head out of whim.

"You're lucky violence is not allowed in this school, young Ferrari. But I won't let this slide," Kiyoshi Tsuyoki stare at the face of the sleeping Roberts. "This is the first time Kamina became lively and trusting again. There must be something Judy resembles from his mother. He even calls her Ane -- which is very surprising. Meaning he trully sees something within her. That is why I cannot allow you to have her."

"Tsuyoki- sama, you are far too trusting with someone you've just met."

"Yes. As a well-respected yakuza, I must challenge you to fair fight for the hand of this lady."

Valence smirked sarcastically. "Fair, huh?"

"Judea Roberts is not an ordinary woman."

"What do you mean?"

Tsuyoki ignored him. "Kai will be your opponent."

Valence head twitch. Kai is Kiyoshi Tsuyoki's first born son. As much as he doesn't care, he's in the next class to him. And then he had a realization. "You... You're actually betrothing this woman to Kai, are you?"

"Unless Kamina says Kai can have her." There. The real head of Tsuyoki Family reveals his true evilness. He plans on feeding one innocent girl to his two sons to share with for his own benefit.

"What's so special about her that you are willing to put up a challenge?"

"What is special about her that you are willing to take up a challenge?" Kiyoshi used the same sentence and monotone he did.

The cat got Valence tongue. He wasn't able to find the words he want to say. Is there even? Why does he waste his time for someone he just met not even an hour ago?

"Very well, Nicholaus and I have so much to talk about. Do look after my future daughter-in-law while I'm gone."

Nagising ako sa hindi panilyar na lugar. May pagkahilo pang bumangon ako mula sa hospital bed. Nahinto ako. "Hospital bed?" anas ko. Pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang buong silid kung nasaan ako. Hindi naman mukhang ospital. Infirmary? To make sure, bumaba ako sa kama at sinilip ang labas ng malaking bintana. Nasa Vasilias University pa rin ako. Infirmary nga.

Mabilis na napabaling ako sa likuran ko. Mula sa katapat kong pinto ay biglang lumitaw ang pigura ng isang pamilyar na lalaki. "Espanyol?" sambit ko sa sariling isipan. "What are you doing here? What am I doing here?" Siete napapa-Ingles na naman ako.

"My name is Valence Ferrari," aniya, hindi pinansin ang tanong ko. "Remember the name, because from now on, you are my fiancee."
