"Taehyung wait!" I caught up with him and ran to his side.
"What do you want?" He asked; clearly annoyed.
I built up my courage and lifted my chin. I showed him the brown paper bag in my hand and bared my teeth in a wide grin. "We're having lunch together, starting today."
He gave me a blank expression and decided to walk off, leaving me dumbfounded. "Not interested," I heard him piped.
As much as I want to admit that stung, I needed to spend time with him. That way, I could easily know how to help him. "Taehyung-ah, stop being so stubborn."
He looked over his shoulder and I caught him smirking. "What are you going to do about it, huh? Slap me again?"
I dropped my shoulders, hanging my head low as I let out a heavy sigh. "I know you don't like me as a personㅡ" I gulped down the painful words. "ㅡbut, you're not the only person I have dealt with. Say you're fine now but, you'll always be miserable if you don't let people in. I know opening up to strangers isn't your forte, neither is it mine. But, we have to work together on this. I want you to help you to be happy again. So, please. Do this with me for this semester."
I paused and dropped my shoulders.
"But if it this doesn't work out then, I will assure you that you don't have to see my face anymore after the semester."
I realised his whole body was already facing mine. I took a step closer and held out my hand. "Are you up for the challenge, Kim Taehyung?"
The corner of his lips curved up in amusement. "Maybe you're not so bad after all." he leaned towards my face, having to crouch slightly as he's taller than me. He grabbed my chin and brought my face closer to his. "But I'm busy." He gently pat my left cheek and threw me that infuriating wolfish grin of his.
When we both heard a continuous ringing sound, he took out his phone and brought it to his ear. "Hey beautiful," he answered his call and winked at me before he left.
There he goes; off with his girl toy.
