I hugged my books gently to my chest as I approached Taehyung and his Greek god friends. Jimin was the first to notice my existence. He smiled and elbowed Taehyung. He looked up and quickly broke our locked gaze.
Everyone stared at me except for him alone. I coughed and cleared my throat. "Umm.. Taehyung-ah, we need to talk." I took another step closer to him. "Please?"
Silence reined between the eight of us. "Yah, Kim Taehyung," Yoongi spoke up. "Just go talk to her and get this over with, yeah?" He sounded irritated, mostly annoyed.
Taehyung sighed and stood up. "Let's go," he said and walked past me.
We stopped outside the cafeteria. He shoved his hands in his pocket and gave me that cute I'm-mad-at-you look. "What is it?" He asked in a grumpy way.
I straightened up and pouted my lips. "About yesterday.. I'm sorry for running off like that. I shouldn't have—"
"Stop apologising," he cut me off.
"But if it wasn't for my big ego, I wouldn't have been in that toilet situation and you wouldn't have to save me. I acted like a selfish little kid without thinking properly. I only cared about my emotions that, I didn't even think for a second about how you would feel. I—"
I was cut off when Taehyung grabbed the side of my face and placed his soft lips on mine. My heart was fluttering like crazy and I couldn't think of anything except forㅡ what the heck is happening?! Before I could react back to the kiss, he pulled away.
"Glad I finally shut you up," he said as he pat my head. "It's my fault. Now, quit apologising." He shoved his hands in his pockets and gave me a quirky smirk. "Let's get back to the boys."
My cheeks heated up as I quietly followed him. I touched my lips and stared at Taehyung from the back. I was surprised how fast he could change. Made me wonder if the kiss earlier meant anything to him or not..
