don't kill me yet

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My body felt heavy and sore. My stomach felt as if someone had stabbed me repeatedly nonstop. Why is this happening? What is happening? What does this mean? Millions of questions zoomed around my head yet I couldn't ask one. I can't move or talk. Hell, I can't even open my eyes! The only thing I can do right now is listen.
The first thing I heard was muffled chatter, my ears rang painfully loud which hurt a lot, but I couldn't do anything. Like I said, I can't move. Once I lay there for a couple of minutes, I finally started to adjust to sound as the ringing faded away.
"We're very sorry. Our team did as much as we could.. but this will have to do, for now. It looks like your fiancée will be asleep for a few more hours, but she could wake up at any time - from now until.. well, we'll have to wait and see.." A female voice spoke. Who is that? I don't recognise that voice at all..
I just about managed to pick up the sound of someone sighing. They were right next to me. I can feel someone's presence. I told my brain to move my hand or open my eyes but I just can't move.
The silence took over once again until the sound of a door closing broke it within a second. I then heard sniffling to my right. Someone is here.. I just don't know who.
Whoever was next to me released a big sigh, which sounded shaky. What is happening?
Suddenly, after a few minutes of silence, my eyes don't feel heavy anymore. I can already see the bright lights through my closed eyes. I slowly open my eyes and adjust myself to the extreme light. I squint my eyes so I could try and make out where I am.
I raise my head slowly. My whole body ached, my neck feels like it's in an awful cramp, my stomach feels like it's been ripped apart and I'm silently worrying about the baby - what the fuck is going on?!
I look to the right to see who is sitting next to me and my god was I not prepared for this. There, sitting next to me was Brad with his head in his hands, he wore a beanie with a dark green, woolly jumper (multi-media pic), black bottoms and his converse.
He's here.
"Brad?" I widened my eyes in surprise, shock.. HE'S ACTUALLY HERE?!
My voice sounded croaky and horrible, plus, why am I in a hospital?
"Maddie..?" Brad raised his head almost immediately, nearly snapping his bloody neck. His eyes looked red and sore, as if he'd been crying. He looked tired, exhausted even. My poor baby.
"Why am I here? Why are you here..?!" Brad shook his head and looked back down at the floor, his warm hand had met my cold one, squeezing it tightly.
There was a small pause until Brad managed to tell me what happened and why I'm here.
"You called me, last night, saying that you were in awful pain and that Emily was on her way to help you. The next thing I know I got a call from your phone saying that I needed to be here, so I caught the quickest plane over here to see you.."
I've been asleep for almost 24 hours?!
"Oh.. I remember.." I frowned, looking at the bump that made a lump in the blanket that laid on me. I brought my left hand up to touch it until Brad nearly jumped out of his seat.
"No!" He squeezed my right hand so tight it almost frightened me. I gave him a confused frown. His face softened and his frown reappeared on his face.
"Brad.. what is going on?" My voice sounds like I've been punched in the throat. I feel terrible. I can't move the bottom half of my body. Now I can't touch my baby?!
