His eyes twinkled as he looked at me, his smile wide and proud - that's my man. (lol boy)

Brad held my hand tightly as we got the reassuring smile from the nurse, making my whole body shiver with excitement. The nurse opens the door and a gust of cool air hits me. It feels nice to not be trapped in a warm, stuffy room.

The nurse then leads us down a long corridor which sets of fireworks in my stomach.

"How are you feeling?" Brad whispered as he walked right behind he nurse.

"Very excited!" I smiled widely. Brad chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into the side of his body.

"Are you two first time parents?" The nurse turned to us as we reached a big, silver lift.

"Yes," We replied at the same time, smiling continuously.

"Aw, you two are a beautiful couple!" The nurse giggled.

"Thank you!" I replied, holding my hand to my chest, her comment making my heart warm.

This nurse needs a damn promotion. She's the nicest nurse I've ever spoken to!

"No problem!" She's very cheery, that's for sure. I like her.

When the lift arrived, we stepped into it and pressed the button to the premature ward, which is downstairs.

I rested my head on Brad's shoulder as we waited for the lift to reopen.

When the doors opened, Brad and I looked at each other with excitement. Our smiles couldn't be removed from our faces. The nurse then gestured for us to follow her, so we did until we reached a door that said 'Premature Newborns'.

"Alright, so, I just have to go over some things with you both.." She said before she opened the door. We nodded for her to carry on.

"When you step into the room, don't raise your voices. There are other babies, just like yours, and they're sleeping. The last thing we want is screaming babies everywhere," She chuckled. We laughed in reply but completely agreed with what she said.

She then finally opened the door and my eyes widened.

Around 20 incubators are in this room with babies inside them.

This gave me a weird feeling in my stomach, like excitement, but much stronger and much more powerful.

The nurse then leads us to an incubator that is placed at the back of the room. It had a tag on the side labelled 'Simpson' - my heart started to beat faster.

That's her! Our baby!

"Oh, she's gorgeous!" I whisper, tears starting to build up in my eyes.

"She's tiny!" Brad also had tears in his eyes. He stood behind me and leaned over my shoulder to get a good look at her.

She had a small, pink blanket placed over her tiny body. It's decorated with little pink bows around the top and bottom of the blanket. Her cheeks are chubby and squishy, her little lips are positioned in a small frown as she slept, and her tiny fingers poked out the top of the blanket.

I sighed in astonishment. I can't believe we have created this beauty, it's unbelievable, I still can't believe this is my life. I'm soon to marry the love of my life and we've just had our first child. I couldn't ask for more.

Brad
I watched her as she stared at our tiny baby in front of us. Her eyes glossed over with tears, her lips carved into the smile I fell in love with from the day I met her. She's mine, forever, and now we're here - in the hospital - admiring our beautiful baby girl.
