[Moving Day]
{third person}
Like any other day in England, the start to the day was gloomy and bitter. However, as the sun continued to rise, it grew warmer every second, even thought it was still cold.
Brad and Maddie had woken up early for this exciting day. Both were happy to be starting fresh and moving to another house in a different place.
Maddie's parents came to help move things outside as the removal truck will be here shortly. Brad's parents also would have come to help, but Derek decided to treat Anne and take her away to a cabin for a couple of days.
As the removal truck pulled up to the house, the clock strikes 8 o'clock. Brad and David start to lift the big things like the couch, the fridge, etc. into the truck where one of the workers would place it into the back. Two other workers went into the house and started to bring out all of the furniture and put into either into the truck or to the side where it'd be taken for rubbish.
Maddie held Lily as she lay asleep on her shoulder, Lily's belongings by her feet seeing as they'd be taking most of her stuff in the car.
"I'll put Lily's things in the car." Maddie's mum smiled as she grabbed a few bags.
"Thanks, mum." Maddie smiled back as she rocked Lily side to side. While Maddie's mum was putting Lily's things into the car, Maddie looked at the house she and Brad had lived in for the past year and a half.
All of the memories came back to her, as if it was a slideshow for her to look back on. In this house, the couple have had their anniversaries, their birthdays, engagement, engagement party and they've also brought Lily into the world while living in this very house. It made Maddie emotional knowing that someone else will buy this shortly, and that she'd be leaving whatever memories her and Brad have shared together, but Maddie thinks of the good things that are going to come out of this; a bigger house, a new start, a bigger family.Maddie hadn't realised she was crying until Brad came over to her and wiped away her tears with his thumb, "Why are you crying?" Brad asked in a soft tone, but stifled a laugh as Maddie giggled.
"It's just the memories, Brad." Maddie smiled while trying to stop herself from crying. Brad nodded, thinking to himself that he feels the same.
"I know, but we're going to make so many more in this new house." Brad reassured Maddie while he softly brushed wisps of Lily's hair away from her chubby cheeks.
Maddie felt a pang if excitement rush through her body at what Brad said. So, Maddie smiled and stopped herself from crying, knowing she should be happy and not sad."I love you." Maddie cooed at Brad. Brad's cheeks flushed a pinky colour with Maddie's words.
"I love you too." Brad replied, placing a soft kiss on Maddie's lips before going back to helping move whatever is left.
"I've never told you this," Maddie's mum started as she approached Maddie, "but you have no idea how happy I am that you and Brad met."
Maddie's heart fluttered at her mum's comment. Her cheeks grew pink and hot and her eyes started to water again.
"Don't make me cry again!" Maddie jokingly said as she wiped her eyes, careful not to move Lily too much as she's still sleeping.
"It's true, sweetheart! Your dad and I are always saying how happy we are for the two of you. Both of you have this beautiful bond together! It always reminds me of me and your dad when we were your age." Kate smiled, looking down at the sleeping beauty in Maddie's arms.
"Let's not forget to mention the beautiful baby you both have." Kate added on. Maddie felt overwhelmed with the amount of excitement, happiness and love she felt at this moment.
"Thank you, mum. I'm happy I've made you and dad proud." Maddie replied. Kate chuckled at her daughters reply and stroked her long, thick hair with her dainty hand.
About an hour had passed and everything is packed and ready to go. Maddie put a sleepy Lily into her car seat and closed the door, turning to face the house again. Kate, David, Brad and Maddie stood in the driveway while the moving truck got started up. This was their cue to go.
Brad and Maddie thanked Kate and David for their help, which they said was fine. Each of them hugged before Kate and David left to go back home, leaving Brad and Maddie on the driveway.
"This is it." Maddie turned to Brad with a sad smile.
"It is." Brad replied, taking one last look at the house. The 'for sale' sign that was placed at the front of the driveway had been changed to 'sold' after a couple came to view the house just a few weeks ago - obviously, they bought it.
It reminded me of Brad and I, when we first bought this house. We were a couple, just like them. The couple got themselves in the car. Lily still slept in the back in her car seat with her little elephant toy that she loved so much.
Brad started the engine and slowly drove out of the driveway, leaving behind the house for good. Once Brad exited the driveway, the moving truck followed behind to the new house.

After a long, stressful, emotional day - Brad, Maddie, Lily and Pop had eventually got the main pieces of furniture sorted and put into the right place. However, some is missing as it was chucked out so new ones could replace them.
Most of the rooms are still empty seeing as it's only the first day of moving in, but Brad and Maddie have plans on what to do in those empty rooms. It was late in the evening. The sun had set, the dark night sky taking its place. Lily was just about falling asleep, Pip was sprawled across the floor next to her bed - she only uses her bed as a toy, not an actual bed. Brad and Maddie were on the couch, watching the tv they had standing on a small shelf as it needs to be put on the wall.
Madison
"I'm so happy we did this." I said, turning to face a happy Brad, gleaming at Pip who was fast asleep on the floor.
"Me too." He replied with the biggest grin on his precious little face. I giggled at him while I held Lily close to me, her eyes closing as if she were about to fall asleep.
"You tired?" I asked looking in Brad's direction to see him admiring Lily as she slept.
"Little bit." He shrugged, not taking his eyes off Lily.
Carefully, I lift Lily's small body into a cradle position and hold her out for Brad to take. Brad's eyes literally light up whenever he's near her - I can tell he loves her very much. I knew he'd be an amazing dad.
Lily only squirmed as she slept, but she didn't wake.
Brad smiled so widely while holding her. His dimples showed, his perfect smile gleamed, his eyes squinted from smiling so much.God, I love him with my whole heart.
