does he actually mind

••

Brad and I decided to take Lily out today. We didn't really have a specific place we wanted to go, but we did go shopping, where we bought Lily some little things like a couple of tops, dresses and a pair of new shoes. After that, Lily got excited when she saw the Disney store - so we spent about an hour looking around the store, only for Lily to shake her head and not get anything anyway. Typical girl.

After a long day, we got home and put Lily down for a nap while Brad and I sat down and sorted out the moving papers.

We have 3 months to find somewhere before we have to start and make a move. Our landlord told us that if we don't have anywhere to go after the 3 months, they'll have to kick us out. Which is fair enough, they're only doing their job. Anyway, Brad and I think we've already found somewhere..

"What about this one?" Brad pointed at the piece of paper he held. I averted my eyes from the computer and looked at the piece of paper Brad held in his hand. The house is nicely sized and modern looking. I like it.

I nodded my head in agreement and left the computer to look at the details of the house.

It houses 5 people, has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and also has a decent sized garden. By the pictures, the house looks perfect for us. Yes, it's a bit big for us right now, but we will definitely have more children in the future - so this will be perfect!

"Brad, I actually think we've found the one." I said as I looked up at him. Brad's face lit up as he smiled, until he looked down at the price of the house.

"The price... it's-"

"Perfect." I said, cutting him off. Brad gave me a confused look.

"How are we going to get the money for that?" He said, placing the paper on the table and crossing his arms over his chest.

"I haven't really mentioned it, but I'm taking a new job in a few weeks. I should have said something but.. I just forgot..?" I mentally slapped myself. How could I forget that I'm starting a new job?

"Oh, right. Well, what is this new job, then?" Brad asked, his arms still crossed over his chest. God, his arms look so thick and tense.

Besides Brad looking like an actual GOD sitting next to me, I sigh and explain to him what my new job is.

"Well.. it's like my old job, in the same industry, but in a higher position." I said while trying not to be distracted by him.

"So, you got promoted?" Brad said as his eyes lit up.

"I suppose so!" I replied excitedly.

"That's amazing! I'm so proud of you!" Brad said as he pulled me into a hug. I giggled and hugged him back, feeling the warmth of his body on mine.

"Thanks, Brad. It feels good to be going back to work after having so much time off from maternity. Are you sure you'll be ok with Lily while I'm at work?" I said quietly as I pulled back from the hug.

"Of course, we'll be fine. We'll have some daddy and daughter time!" Brad smiled at the thought. I giggled in reply and turned back to looking at the house we both love.

"I think this is perfect." I said as I looked at the house over and over again.

"Should we book a viewing now? For, say.. next week?" I asked as I clicked the link to book an appointment. Brad nodded in response, so I entered a time and day for the viewing and waited for it to go through.
