••

I stood in front of the full-view mirror, scanning my dress, hair, face and everything else to make sure everything is perfect.

Tonight is the night Brad is taking me out on a date; yes, a date.

We haven't done this in a long time, and we haven't gone out on a nice, proper date before - so we decided tonight is the night. Although, I am a bit sceptical about leaving Lily here. I know Anne will be taking care of her, but I hate the thought of leaving her.

Shaking my head so the thoughts would disappear, I quickly run my eyes over the maroon dress that came down to my knees. The skin-tight material hugged my curves; which Brad said was sexy. Personally, I don't see it. I just like the dress, not the way it makes me look - but it's also Brad's favourite so I decided to wear it for tonight.

My eyes travel to my face where the subtle yet defying makeup sat on my face. I didn't put much on, but the red lip stick definitely makes everything come together - especially because it matches with the dress. My hair is down in its normal, curly state. Although it did look curlier than normal - which I appreciate.

The door squeaked open, and in the reflection of the mirror I saw Brad standing in the doorway looking like a model.

God damn.

"Wow.. you look.." Brad started, then paused, but he didn't finished what he was saying.

"Wow." He said in a hushed tone. His eyes looking me up and down, his lips were in a smirk like position and his right hand is tucked in the pocket of his trousers.

I blushed at his gawking so I looked away, but quickly turned back to him to admire him.

He is wearing a white shirt with the top three buttons undone; showing the top half of his bare chest and his necklace, his trousers were black, and to match he put on black dress shoes. He also had a black blazer that he held with his left hand and hung over his shoulder. His sliver rings matched the silver necklace that dangled down his chest.

Don't even start me on the hair.

His hair looks long, poofy, soft and unbelievably fluffy. I just wanted to run my hands through it, but at the same time I didn't in case I ruined the way it looked. He just looks absolutely breathtaking - he looks beautiful.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I grinned before winking at him, my eyes raking up and down his whole body. Brad smirked at me, his eyes just watched me as I grabbed my purse from the desk next to the window.

"You ready?" He asked, never taking his eyes off me.

"Ready!" I said excitedly before walking over to him. He took his free hand out of his pocket and snaked it around my waist, holding me close.

We got seated at our table. Not many people were here, but that's a good thing - I'm not as anxious as I would be. I fidget with the rings on my fingers, feeling irritated and uneasy.

"Are you alright?" Brad asked, noticing my sudden uneasiness.

"I'm fine." I replied with a smile, although it wasn't a genuine one. I feel so paranoid being away from Lily. It sounds pathetic, but it's just a motherly instinct.

"Hey, don't worry. Lily is with my mum and she will be fine. Nothing is going to happen." Brad put his hands out on the table, open, waiting for me to put out mine. Once I did, his warm skin touched mine and his hands held mine.
