Chapter 5

Lisa's POV
The kids are at my mom's and dad's house while I'm at my house going through Aaron's stuff and I kept a couple of his shirts so I could sleep in them and it smelled like him. I miss him so much. The things I would to cuddle and everything with him again. I got up and his favorite pillow was on the bed and I went and grabbed and just hugged it and just cried. I don't understand. I don't understand any of it. Emerson at least remembers but it sucks that Adalyn and Lincoln are never going to know who their father was, yes there are pictures but that's not the same thing. I still haven't slept and it's midnight and I heard the door open and someone walking up and it was Christina and we both jumped scared each other
"Christina what are you doing?" I asked and she took a breath
"Mom asked me to come check on you" She said and I took a breath
"I'm fine Christina" I said and Christina spoked up
"Bull crap Lisa, you haven't slept, you haven't even ate anything, and it's okay to not be fine Lisa!" She said and I just shook my head and started crying and she came and sit next to me and wrapped her arms around me
"Remember when we were little I would always sing you that one song to calm you down?" She asked and I nodded
"I do" I said and I took a breath
"Christina it's like a huge part of me has been ripped away from me you know? I said and took a breath
"I mean everything was perfect Christina, absolutely perfect! Our house, our kids, our jobs, all our dreams literally became our reality and now part of it is just gone, like I'm seriously waiting for  him to walk through that door and say "Hey babe!" As he gives me a kiss like he always does, but you know what Christina that's not happening and here I am staying strong for the kids because I don't want then to see me weak" I said and I couldn't finished and Christina just hugged me
"Say no more, you don't have to be strong right now, it just you and me" She said and I couldn't stop crying and I took his pillow and cried into it, and Christina was rubbing my back and she spoked up
"It looks like you got a lot done come on let's get you back to mom's" She said as she helped me up and I just hugged her really tight
"I love you Christina" I said and she took a breath
"I love you too lise, so much" She said and she ended driving me back to our parents house and I went in and check on my kids and they were sound asleep and my mom spoked up
"You okay lise?" She asked and I took a breath and shook my head
"No"
