Chapter 6

Lisa's POV

"No" I told her and she came up and hugged me really tight "Don't ever pretend that you are okay? I know it's hard" She said and I took a breath
"I miss him mom" I said and she put her hands on my face
"I know you do, we all do" She said and she hugged me again and we heard crying and I spoked up
"That's Emerson" I said and I walked in the room and I just sit next to her and shook her
"Emerson babe, it just a bad dream" I said and she woke up crying and she just tackled me into a hug and I stroked her hair
"Shhh it's okay you're okay I'm right here" I said and she finally calmed down and my mom was watching us from the doorway and she spoked up
"Mommy can I sleep with you?" She asked and I nodded
"Of course" I said and I lifted her up as I checked on Adalyn and she was still asleep and we walked out "Wanna say goodnight to mammaw?" I asked her and she went to give my mom a hugged
"Goodnight mammaw" She said and I smiled and my mom kissed her forehead
"Goodnight sweetie" my mom said and we walked into the room I was staying in and Lincoln was sleeping in his bassinet in there and I smiled and I laid her down and I went to change my clothes and I actually changed into one of Aaron shirts that I took and laid down next to her
"So what was your dream about?" I asked her and she looked at me
"You left me" She said and I gave her a look
"I left you?" I asked and she nodded and spoked up
"You went to heaven, just like daddy" She said and my heart was crushed and she spoked up
"I don't want you to go too" She said and I took a breath and hugged her really tight and kissed her cheek
"Emerson I am not going anywhere" I said and she spoked up
"Promise" She said and I put my pinky out for her and she put hers with mine
"Promise" I said and she snuggled close to me
"I love you mommy" She said and I smiled
"I love you" I said and I kissed her forehead and she spoked up again
"You smell like daddy did" She said and I smiled and mumbled
"Good" I said and she quietly fell asleep and finally after the last few days I'm finally getting some decent sleep. Tommorrow is the funeral which I'm dreading.
