Shawn's P.O.V

"Shawn eats your lunch."

"No, I don't like it, It's fine I am sure dad will eat it," I said

"It's tomato soup, honestly please just eat it and stop complaining."

"Mom, I would eat an actual tomato instead of this. Tomato soup is worse than red tomatoes. I know people that love tomato and throw up overtime they eat this soup, what about people like me?"

"Spoiled brats?"

"No mom, people who don't like tomatoes."

"Are you really not going to eat your dinner?"

"No, I'm sorry mom."

"Fine."

She walked out of the room without saying anything more, I wondered what she was thinking, what she was going to do. I knew this conversation wasn't over, I knew she was going to do something else.

I waited a few minutes, wondering if she was even going to return, where had she gone?

I knew I could have packed this up and put it in the fridge, got into the jeep and when to get s sandwich from Tims (TIM HORTONS, FOR ALL YOU NON-CANDAIANS.) or something, but I waited.

"I know, he is a baby." I heard my mom say.

I knew it, I knew this wasn't over, would have been way to easy.

"I know, I know, anyway thank you, I will put him on the phone." She said as she walked around the corner.

She was talking on the phone, and I was about to find out who she was talking to.

"Who is it?" I asked as my mom handed me the phone

"It's Shannon."

"What, you called Shannon, your crazy ."

"Don't call your mother crazy."

I took the phone from her then slowly raised it to my ear.

"Hey, Shannon."

"Shawn."

"I can't believe she called you."

"Well."

"This is so embarrassing."

"No Kidding, actually my mom would do the same thing."

"Are you going to tell me to eat this soup."

"Nope, but if you do, Friday night, just you and me. We can watch a movie, we can-"

"My mom is still in the room," I said cutting her off

"I wasn't going to say anything dirty, I am sure you could figure out what I was talking about." She laughed

"I think I figured it out." I laughed

"Fine, I will throw up, but I will eat it."

"Perfect."

"You better not pull this shit if we ever get married." I laughed

"Well considering we have been dating for four years, we pretty much are married."

"I am hanging up."

"Bye, enjoy your dinner."

"I hate you."

"I love you, Mendes."

"Love you too, bye."

I hung up the phone, handed it to my mom who was smiling then slowly began to eat the tomato soup and crackers.
