Imagine your walking home in the rain when Shawn drives past you. He backs up then tells you to get in.

You try to pull your hood over your head more but continuously fail. Eventually, you just hold your hood over your head so it will stop flying off.

The last time you got caught in a rainstorm, was in middle school. You had to walk home every day, and it always seems to rain.

When you switched to high school, it was too far for me to walk, so I took the bus. I got my license a year or two after and had completely given up walking.

But here You were caught in a rainstorm because your dick head boyfriend was your ride. He was being a douche, so you stormed out.

You and Dustin have never really got alone, it was a forced relationship, as forced as a gay guys parents making him date a girl, that kinda forced. You actually often wondered if Dustin was gay, maybe that would explain why he was so mad all the time, especially towards you.

Cars drove by, I know they are laughing, pointing, thinking about running through the puddle that's beside me. I know, because that what I do when I see people walking in the rain,

A black jeep drives by, then stops on their breaks in the middle of the road. Shit, please don't back up, don't back up. Of course, it starts backing up.

Shawn rolls the passenger window down and stares at you.

"What are you doing?" He asks

"What does it look like, I am strolling through a rain forest." I smile

"Get in the car." He smiles as I open the door.

Shawn and I have always been really close, we have always got along. I just hated telling him when things were wrong. I know that he would do anything for me and that he would even run into a burning building.

I am the one that's suppose to do that for him though, I am the older one, the firstborn. I mean he's the brother, but he always tries to take care of us, and sometimes I feel bad.

"What happened?"

"Just another argument," I say looking out the window.

"Do I need to go beat him up?" Shawn says as dangerous as he can. I mean I hate that he acts like an older brother, but I mean, I am only 11 months older, not even a year.

"No." I laugh

"Well, mom and dad made pizza for dinner, so you have that to look forward too." He said punching my arm.

I looked at him and smiled.

"Thanks, Shawn."

"For what?"

"For actually being a good brother, for picking me up off the side of the road and then trying to cheer me up. You know how many siblings wouldn't do that?"

"I know you and Aaliyah would do it for me, I guess we're lucky. We are family, but we all choose to be best friends."

"Cheesy."

"But true."

"Yeah, but ... still cheesy." I laughed.
