"It just so happens that Army officer George Franks led four-hundred men into a battle of blood and death," Mr.Cutter said continuing his lecture.
It was the same lecture he had been giving us for two days becuase of his lack of organization with papers and planning for our next lesson. I wasnt even paying attenion to his lecture- neither was half the class- and didnt realize he had stopped until he called my name.
"Ms.Lia, could you please summarize my lecture for today in your own words," He said looking down at me.
I looked up at him from my desk and swallowed. Before I could open my mouth the bell rang for lunch and everyone started gathering their books together to leave, but Mr.Cutter stopped everyone to make an announcement.
"Remember class you have a test next week on Wednesday that you must study for, and it is worth one-fourth of your grade this semester," Mr.Cutter said walking back to his desk and dismissing us.
I grabbed my books and hurried out the door to my locker, which was conveniently across the hall from my History class. The only problem was traffic of a million kids going every which way to get somewhere.
"Hey Lia!" Someone yelled coming toward me in the mess of kids.
I looked up from my locker and waved at Alice as she walked down the hall towards me.
"Hey, Alice. How was Biology?" I asked her.
"Boring. Ms.Aaron didn't even tell us what we where supposed to do in class today, and she was totally out of it from her breakup with her latest boyfriend. So Chase and Beck decided to play catch with that nerd, Conner's books. And Ms.Aaron didnt even notice it!" Alice said with a little bit of enthusiasm in her voice.
"Alice, do you feel bad for the guy or are you more excited that Ms.Aaron didnt see it? I'm a little confused," I said smiling as I shut my locker.
