" Lia, come on. Snap out of it," Beck said putting me down on the couch.
I slowed my breathing and stopped shaking. Beck sat down beside of me and put his arm around my shoulder. I leaned into him and calmed down.
"Are you okay?" Chase asked kneeling down in front of me.
"Yeah. Fine. Where's Rylee?" I asked quietly.
"She said she wasnt feeling good so she went home," Chase said putting a hand on my knee.
"Seriously Lia, are you okay? If I had known I wouldnt have pushed you in," Shane said trying to come sit with me but Beck glared at him and he backed up.
"Yes Shane I'm fine!" I yelled.
I then realized how harsh I was being and pushed back into the folds of the couch to hide myself.
"I' am so sorry, Shane. I didnt mean to yell at you," I said looking up at him.
His eyes shifted from being hurt to a softer tone.
"It's okay, Lia," He said then sat on the other end of the couch.
Beck pulled me out of the fold of the couch and sat me on his lap. I smiled and leaned on his chest.
"Shane maybe you should go home," Chase said standing up.
"I'm not leaving her here," He said standing up.
"I think it's the best thing right now. She's okay," Chase said looking at me and smiling.
"But-" He began but I cut him off.
"Shane I really think you should go home now. Its almost eight," I said not looking at him.
I heard him sigh, then i heard footsteps along the hallway and a door closing.
"So, what did Brian say to you?" I asked when I made sure Chase and Shane where both gone.
"I asked him if I could bring you to the pack house tonight to meet the rest of the pack, and he said you could go if you wanted too," Beck said.
"Yeah I wanna go. I do need to get changed first, and for that to happen I need you to let me up," I said squirming.
He kissed me on the temple and let me up. He followed me upstairs so he could get changed in his room too.
I walked into my room and shut the door. I decided for a quick shower of hot water before I got dressed. I was probably covered in mud and everything from the lake. Once I was done with my shower I searched through my closet for the right clothes. I settled on a pair of ripped jeans and a orange tank top. I piled my hair into a pony-tail on my head, and slipped on my black sweatshirt and my flip-flops. I walked out of my room just as Beck walked out of his. I smiled at him. He was wearing basketball shorts and a red t-shirt.
"Do I look okay?" I asked him when we walked down the stairs.
"Perfect. You'll blend right in," He told me taking my hand.
I opted for driving my own car and Beck reluctantly let me even after what happened today. He had to give me turn-by-turn directions to the pack house and it was so dark, I had my headlights on full blast.
"Okay, take a left turn and from there just go straight until you see a four story building," He said.
"Why dont you live at the pack house?" I asked him curiously.
"Because I'm the Beta. Brian doesnt live there either. But even though the rest of the pack has homes, Brian thought it would be better if we all lived together. And I dont live that far away from here anyway," He said as we came up to four story building.
It was white and brick and huge. Not nearly as big as my house but big enough. There where also about 20 cars parked outside the house. Some people where standing outside. I recognized one of them as Brian, but the others i didnt know. Until one face stepped out on the porch that I knew all too well. It was Shane...
