Alice and I walked  into the cafeteria and got in line to get our food.

"Lia, you know that becuase i'm me i always feel sorry for the underdog. We used to be there, but thats the key word...used to be. We cant let ourselves be dragged down by them anymore. You of all people should know that. Oh my god! What is this slop?" Alice yelled as we sat down.

"It's called 'meat surprise'. Dont ask me why cuz i honestly dont know. But i feel like because we where the underdogs once, we should help them out,"  I explained to her.

"Sweetie, if you want to go walking around with the losers you go ahead. But you need to understand, you will lose your place in the popular chain if you do. I wont be able to hang with you anymore, L," Alice said drinking some of her water.

"Why? I'll still be me. i won't be any different," i told Alice seriously.

"Oh honey, I cant be sen with an underdog. Even you. Do you not realize what that would do to me? I would be dropped out of the social chain for good," Alice explained examining her food to make sure it was edible.

"Huh. Well, Alice i have to go. I will see you in Study Hall," I said abruptly and left without another word.

Alice stare at me as i left but didnt say anything. Some friend i have. I walked down the empty hallway looking down at the ground.. Thats when I ran into someone and it knocked me over on the floor.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked me trying to help me up.

I nodded in reply. Then looked up, "Yeah i'm fine. My butt is probably gonna hate me by the end of the day, but i'm okay. Have i met you before?"

"Um. no actually. I'm a new student. I'm Shane," He said sticking his hand out.

"Hi. I'm Lia. Nice to meet you," I said shaking his hand.

His hands where rough and big but they fit into my hand just right. Did i mention he was super cute? He had dark brown hair that was a little shaggy, and dark army green eyes. His arm muscels looked huge and they shirt he was wearing outlined his abs quite nicely. He stared at me until i looked away and blushed.

"Where were you headed?" Shane asked me smiling.

"Um...no where really. My friend and I had a little fight that's all," I said not explaining much.

Shane seemed to pick up on that becuase he just looked at me and said, "Okay. Well hey, would you mind telling me where locker number four-thirtytwo is?" He asked me.

"Yeah, i'll show you. It's one down from mine. And it's in a really convient place. It's right across from the History class, right beside the bathrooms, and to the left, up the stairs, and to the first right is the Trigometry class," I said as we walked towards the lockers.

"So if i wanted to be a History- Math nerd this would be the locker for me?" Shane asked smiling.

"Yeah i guess you could say that," I replied stopping at my locker and counting down one to my right.

"You forgot the one downside to our lockers."

 "Yeah? What's that?" I asked.

"We are really far away from the cafeteria," Shane said putting his bag into his locker.

"If your that hungry go get something from the lunch room," I said.

  "I think I will."

"Okay it was really nice meeting you but i have to get to class," i said checking my watch and turning to go up to Biology.

"Wait. What class do you have next?"

"Biology with, Ms.Aarons."

"I have Literature," Shane said sighing.

"Sorry. I'll see you in Study Hall though. Everyone gets into that class together. I really have to go, though. Bye," I said and ran up the steps to Biology.

 "See ya," Shane replied quietly.
