Chapter 28

~~Lia's POV~~

   I woke up and looked up at the clock on the wall. It was seven o'clock in the morning. I pressed the little nurse button on my bed remote and she came in smiling.

  "I had a feeling you'd be waking up soon," She said unpluging all my wires and unhooking my IV bag.

"Thanks," I said.

    "Your mom brought you some clothes so you could pick what you wanted to wear. I'll leave you to get dressed, but just press the button if your having trouble or when your done and we can get you checked out," She said leaving.

 I looked in the wardrobe to find a duffle bag flled with clothes and shoes. I pulled out a pair of boot-cut jeans, my blue and green tank-top, and my green flipflops. I had some difficulty putting on my shirt so I pressed the nurse button. She came in and walked over to help me put it on. It was hard because of my recent injury and I couldnt stretch my stromach very well.

  "Thanks for your help," I said when she was done.

"Your welcome. Once you get your shoes on you can come out to the desk right outside and we'll check you out," She said leaving again.

  I slipped on my shoes and packed the clothes that were strung all over the bed. I walked out and my mom was sitting across the hall wiating for me. I walked over and gave her a hug.

  "Hey mom," I said smiling.

"Hi sweetie. How are you feeling? Sore I imagine?"

  "Yeah a bit," I replied.

"Well, come on. Let's go home," She said walking with me out the doors and to the car.

  When I got in my mom was standing with one foot outside the car staring at someone. She leaned her head in.

  "Lia, I'll be right back,' She said before closing the door.

 I looked out the back window at who my mom was going to talk to and my heart stopped. It was Mr. Scar. My mom walked right up to him and started yelling and pointing fingers in his face, but he was looking at me. he pulled out another knife and as my mom turned around to look at me he slit her throat and she fell to the ground. He started wlaking towards me so I slid over to the drivers side and started the car. I put it in forward and sped out of the parking lot. Tears where streaming down my face as I drove towards my house. He just killed my mom right in front of me. He's going to be trying to kill everyone to get to me. I started panting and knew where I had to go. I calmly pushed the phone button on the car and entered Beck's number. He answered on the fourth ring.

  "Hello?"

"Beck, I need your help," I said looking in the rearview mirror.

   "Where are you?"

"Im in my mom's car driving away from Mr. Scar. Beck, he just killed my mom right in front of me. Now he's going to hunt you all down until all thats left is me," I said blinking back tears.

   "Okay, what do you need?" He asked me.

"Remember when we stayed in my family's cabin in Helen for vacation?"
