I didnt realize driving the Camero instead of my beat up old car to school was going to be so much fun. I peeled out of the parking lot before anyone else and headed for my house- which was where everyone else was headed. The car felt just right to me, like it was made for me. I slowed down as I pulled into my long driveway leading back behind the trees to my house. When you go down the driveway there is a separate road leading towards the lake house. I was tempted to go down there becuase I really wanted to ride my four-wheeler on the trails, but then i remembered that Brian was here so I gunned my car even faster. I pulled up in front of the house and stopped. I turned my radio down and took the keys out. I opened my door, closed it and ran straight up the steps to the front porch. I flew through the door and into the kitchen looking for Brian.
"I see you've already gotten a taste of the car's speed," Brian said coming around the corner and looking at me.
"How'd you know?" I asked him flopping on the large wrap-around couch.
"Could hear you gunning the engine up the driveway the whole time! I think everyone in the freaking neighborhood heard it," Brian replied sitting down next to me and picked up the remote.
The front door opened, closed, and then several pairs of feet came walking down the hallway.
"What did you do Lia? Gun it the whle time?" Chase asked me sitting down
I smirked, "Pretty much."
Shane walked in slowly his mouth hanging wide open as he took everything in.
"Why did you bring him here?" Beck asked pushing past him to sit by me.
"He didnt have a ride, and I wasnt gonna be late cause of him so I just made him tag along. He seems pretty shocked though," Chase replied.
"I didnt know you guys lived in a palace," Shane exclaimed.
Rylee laughed, "We dont live here. Lia does. Our houses are pretty much the same, except her's is bigger."
"Do you have maids or what?" Shane asked me.
I laughed at him, "We do. We have George and Maria. George is the waiter at breakfast and dinner, and Maria is the cook. We did have a maid to help with the laundry when I was little but when I got older my dad fired her cuz I was able to do my own laundry."
Shane just stared at me, "Dude, your lucky. I dont get maids back home."
Brian laughed, "That might be because you dont live at home, Shane. You live with like 20 other kids."
"Do you live in a faster home or something?" I asked him when Beck's arm went around my shoulders.
Shane looked at Brian, "Something like that."
I was confused for a moment but I snapped out of it and gave a suggestion.
"Any of you guys want to go down to the lake house?" I said standing up.
They all nodded with excitement.
"Lets go change first then we can go," I said and Rylee follwed me down the hallway.
"Wait, me, Chase and Beck dont have anything to wear," Shane said with the guys following him.
"Yeah we do. Lia's house is so big that we have our own rooms for when we come over. You can borrow one of ours," Chase said running up the stairs behind me and Rylee.
"Wow," Shane said walking slowly up the stairs.
Beck pushed past him and said quietly, "Better not stare."
"Why would I stare?" Shane asked confused.
I rolled my eyes at him when we walked down the hallway and Rylee and I stopped at my room.
"Meet me down stairs at the back door," I said trying to close my door.
"Which one?" Chase yelled.
"The one by the deck!" I yelled back.
I closed my door and it shut loudly.
